Post#1 » by Khoee » Thu Apr 15, 2010 8:55 pm

how many players in the NBA would you trade for Curry straight up?...I can't think of anyone else besides LeBron which makes Curry the player with the 2nd highest upside in the NBA...

 at the Curry haters on this board...and :falloff: at anyone who hated last season...

who wants to go post this on the Cavs and General NBA boards?...I'm banned from both places...

Not to nitpick, but the press on Chris Paul's knee issue has been downright terrifying. The word, "degenerative" has been used more than a couple of times.

Bob Sura
Bimbo Coles
Danny Fortson
Mugsy Bogues
Mookie Blaylock (GS version)

I'd take them over Curry, but that's about it.

Seriously? Curry is sick but there are lots of players that the warriors would trade straight up for him.

Lebron
Wade
Howard
Carmelo
Deron williams (great match with Ellis next to him)
Durant
Roy
Chris Paul

Im sure there are more, Curry is great yes, but come on he's in Nelson's system, he's gonna have huge #'s. Yeah he's a better distributor than most in the league but he's not the top 3 at his position, and there are many players out there who could be just as beneficial. I swear there was a thread like this about AR last year, come on, I'm all for loving my team, but let's be realistic. He's not even the ROY this year.

I can tell you exactly how valuable Curry is in a standard nba fantasy league:
7th best player in the nba. :o

I'd trade Steph Curry, A Randolph, Monta Ellis and 3 future unprotected 1sts for a resigned maxed out Anthony Tolliver. But thats it.

Ellis, Randolph and now Curry. It seems that the last three seasons we have had the three top 5 players when it comes to "value."

LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Kobe Bryant, Dwyane Wade, Dwight Howard, Chris Bosh, Deron Williams, Joe Johnson, Chris Paul, Amare Stoudemire, Tim Duncan, Carlos Boozer and Carmelo Anthony etc. etc. are all CLEARLY better than Curry and it isn't likely that Curry ever gets to be that level of a player.

3rd according to this guy :o

My Top 5 for 2010-11
1. LeBron James
2. Kevin Durant
3. Stephen Curry
4. Chris Paul
5. Dwayne Wade

If I were drafting a team today under the assumption that rosters and coaches wouldn't change, that's how my top five would look. With LeBron and Wade free agents, CP3 duplicate Collison currently on the same team, and concerns that fantasy king-maker Golden State Warriors coach Don Nelson might retire, that's a lot to assume. But if Nellie returns, and factoring in how prone to injury CP3 and Wade have become, I would take Curry third overall. He's really that good.

The whole point of this is what do you believe Curry's upside is.

Tim Duncan? Old. He wouldn't do ****.

Bosh? Really? He's single handedly take toronto to....nothing?

Deron Williams? walking penis

Joe Johnson? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Chris Paul? Degenerative Knee

Amare? Think about it...

D Wade? Possibly

Kobe? Nearly 32

Boozer? He doesn't do anything without a great pg

Carmelo? Biggest poser in the NBA. He makes no one better.

I'd absolutely trade Curry for Deron.
