Kevin Arnovitz of Clipper Blog and ESPN Los Angeles put together an amazing article for ESPN Los Angeles centered around the reason that most of us can tolerate being Clipper fans. I can't even quote any of this, it's worth reading the entire article. You learn a few things that you may not have already known about the legendary Ralph Lawler, or how Mike Smith became a part of our beloved broadcast team. It's a little long, but it's a great read. So I strongly recommend that you all check it out.

That was a great article, thanks for posting it MK. We need to get a Championship for Ralph before he retires. He has endured more as a Clipper fan and announcer than anybody.

I totally agree. He deserves to get a ring or 3 for what he's had to put up with over the past 30 some odd years. He is the Clippers imo, and I hope that this organization gives him the proper sendoff when he does retire. I can't say that I'm not worried about that though.

Nice read. I respect Lawler even more after reading the article. I never knew so much went into the preparation and commentating of games. After hearing a few bad commentators over the years, I'm surprised there are people like Lawler who put so much into their job. I agree with you guys, and I hope the team can turn around soon, because he deserves much, much better.

Ralph Lawler has been the only constant through it all. What a great professional and representative for the Clipper Nation. The players should want to win it all for him.
