Hey Scabs, why'd you have to go and hack Donk's account and do a drunk posting binge?

If this is anything like last year, we'll get the higher pick. Remember, we beat the Clips in the coin toss last year and they got Griffin.

Right. Last year, after the coin toss we ended up with the "2nd worse record" and got the 5th pick. This year after the coin toss we end up with the "5th worse record" so we'll almost certainly be drafting 2nd. Ya, know 2+3=5, 5-3=2....it's those dang numbers again.

Because it happened last year it will surely not happen again, especailly to benefit the Wizards. They'll get bounced to 6th, surely they will. Just out of curiosity when is the lottery? Not that I plan on watching it.

Hey, if we get the 2nd pick, I'll surely point this post out :P. If not, I'll subtly forget I ever wrote what I did. . .

The bad part about losing the coin toss is that the 4th pick is impossible, so it all depends on the lotto balls. We all know how well the Wizards do with things involving luck.

The chance of a top-3 pick is virtually the same. The problem is after the top 3, the best the Wizards can do is 5th (with drastically decreasing odds to slip to 6th, 7th or 8th, depending on teams that are behind the Wizards ranking getting lucky in the top-3 lottery).

The 6th pick is actually more likely than the 5th. You are just high enough in the lotto that there is still a significant chance that a team behind you will draw a top 3 and push you down one.

And it's the same for the Warriors. 5th pick is more likely than 4th for Warriors.

You can see that in the helpful lotto odds table here:
