I want the Jazz to get the rep back of being a "dirty" team. I want someone to loose a tooth, Crymellos gold one if possible.

Too bad the playoffs didn't start a few months ago, when the jazz were really clicking. I kept think "I hope they aren't peaking early....."

Well, that's too bad! Unless the Jazz can play like we know they can and move on through the playoffs, AK will have all summer to recover...

And then another entire season to have muscle sprains, bruised shins and stomach flu's, but only when we need him.

I'd love to see that. That's what they need to win this series.Lava Rock Kid wrote:I want the Jazz to get the rep back of being a "dirty" team. I want someone to loose a tooth, Crymellos gold one if possible.

What a crock of ****. I've never wanted to get rid of AK but the man is worthless if he can't play when we need him most. As far as Melo goes, I'd like to put Matthews/Jeffers on him rather than Miles.

The Jazz need to give Melo as many different looks as possible. He's going to get his 30 points, no doubt about that, but it would be nice if he at least had to work for it a little bit.
Not having AK really hurts here because he adds a dimension that nobody else on the Jazz has which is length and speed. Not having Harpring anymore hurts here as well.
With that said a combination of CJ, Matthews and Millsap should be able to force Carmelo to regularly change his game. CJ should be able to keep up with his quickness, forcing him to try to be more of a low post player. Millsap should be able to keep him out of the post and force him into more 15-19 foot jumpers, and Matthews can probably do a little bit of both and hopefully force Melo to put the ball on the floor.
Hopefully we can force Melo to play some defense as well, but you have to expect he's going to get his one way or another.
Just thinking about all the different things you have to do in order to slow Melo down reminds me of why I love his game so much. The kid can flat out play basketball.
