Fred Lewis Traded to Toronto

Post#1 » by Stanford » Fri Apr 16, 2010 6:56 am

For PTBNL and cash. The end of an era. I kind of guessed this was the case when I saw he wasn't in the lineup for Fresno tonight.

The guy could have helped us as the leadoff hitter until Sanchez got back, but alas it wasn't to be. Remember when he hit for the cycle? Yep.

He gets a lot of hate from Giants fans. Whit good reason too, he's just not that good and his defense is terrible. He seems like a good guy though and I wish him luck in the land of bagged milk.

I remember that. I thought it was the start of an amazing start for him and the future of the Giants...but...alas.

Fred's up to bat for the Jays right now. Bottom of the ninth. 6-3 Angels, one on. Two outs.

With Mike McCoy in scoring position, Fred Lewis singles to tie the game up in the bottom of the 8th inning for the Toronto Blue Jays. Something we couldn't do once last night.

Impressive.

I really thought he would pan out for us but once he became a full season starter his value went down tremendously. This reminds me of Rajai Davis. I remember him and Lewis came up at the same time.
