Rip is somebody that would work well on this team. Can play D and is a big improvement at the 2. He can also help out DeRozan be a strong 2 for the future. Plus when his contract expires then hopefully DeRozan will be ready to take over the role.

I also like the idea of aquiring B. Diddy, but not sure if the Clips are willing to budge on that.

Only if they get #1 overall and draft Wall.

*** LA replaces Fisher with another big PG that can defend and hit open shots in the triangle, Philly gets cap space and 2 young prospects, Toronto gets a playmaking wing that can play D

CHA receives: Jaric, Evans, Raptors 2010 pick
TOR receives: Chandler
*** I think the Bobcats could extend Tyrus and use him to replace Chandler ... I don't think they'd let Thomas go after trading a pick for him, and they'd run into serious luxury taxes if they kept Chandler+Thomas+Felton. Jaric's salary is already being paid from a buyout, so that saves about $6 mil.

(~$68 to $70ish mil total salary, depending on additional scrubs)
Starting lineup
C - Chandler
PF - Bosh
SF - Weems
SG - Iguodala
PG - Hinrich

Bench
-Gibson
-Turkoglu
-Belinelli
-resigned Amir or a MLE free agent

I like it

Beli and Turk can come in off the bench and handle the PG duties

In exchange for Bosh we are getting a TPE and maybe a 1st rounder.

Trade TPE for Sam Dalembert (straight up). Philly gets to shed a lot of cash and opens up PT for Speights.

Next, trade Calderon and Banks to New York for Eddy Curry and Toney Douglas. Buy out Eddy Curry immediately after. New York will give max contracts to a wing and a big. They got Gallinari and Chandler signed. All they will be missing is a PG, and Calderon could flourish under D'Antoni.

PG: Jack/Douglas
SG: DeRozan/Bellinelli
SF: Turkoglu/Weems
PF: Bargnani/Evans
C: Dalembert

Avoid re-signing Antonio or Amir, because the former is washed out and the latter will get overpaid. Also, better to have cap flexibility down the road. And the above team will be competitive next year. You utilize Turkoglu by letting him have the ball, and you improve defensively at both the C and PG spots.

If you are going to absorb a player or players into a Bosh TPE, you can do better than Dalembert. and Eddy Curry has said no to a buyout from the Knicks - he's quite emphatic - and so why would he do one in Toronto?

Who's Antonio?

I think he meant waive Eddy Curry rather than an actual buyout so he doesn't become a distraction in Toronto.

Probably, but Memphis wouldn't deal him. They got him in a steal with they traded away his brother for him.

Patterson and Wall reunite in NJ. They would draft Bledsoe later on with Dallas pick and it would really make Wall and Paterson more comfortable IMO.

Toronto gets its all-star guard that can create, play defense, is still young.

Wall/Bledsoe/Banks
Lee/CDR
Gay(signed)/Williams
Patterson/Yi/Humphries
Lopez/FA/Jordan (2nd rounder)

then Toronto has a problem. We have Harris/Calderon/Jack so obviously you move Calderon next.

Toronto Sends:
Jose Calderon $9,000,000
Reggie Evans $5,080,000

Raptors Off-Season:

- Sign Joel Anthony (1.5 million)
- Sign Josh Powell (1.5 million)
- Sign Devin Brown (minimum)

Harris/Jack/Atkins
Hamilton/Derozan/Brown
Hedo/Weems
Bosh/Johnson/Dorsey
Bargnani/Anthony/Powell

= ECF team. Bosh gets everything he wants and we move the players we want to move. Works out for each team too, they get everything they need. This could realistically happen.

Good work. And I think Anthony would be worth a portion of the MLE because of the much needed shotblocking he brings.

IMO, this team could be a real mess very soon. We could be the Clippers north.

The answer lies in the coffers of OTPP. They have the financial clout to right this ship by taking on some crappy contracts that a lot of other owners do not want and/or have to dump for financial reasons. They need to look around and take advantage of some of these guys. No one and I repeat no one has the financial power of the Raptors behind them. And its not close either.

If not, this team could be in disarray for another 4+ yrs.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

will philly do a jose for dalembert trade straightup?

both are overpaid, and philly has been absolutely crushed since the departure of miller. they need a PG until Jrue develops.

I think they do need a PG. One who can shoot, stretch the floor and is a pass first guy. However I doubt they stunt the development of jrue

I mean bosh wants all-star wing who's available?

Joe Johnson?
Monta Ellis?
Andre Iguodala?
Devin Harris?

Second tier guys, do they keep Bosh?
Richard Hamilton
Baron Davis
Corey Maggette
MLE targets (Josh Howard, mike miller ect)

so all in all what can Evans + Banks + #13 get us. Does it get us one from the 1st group? Maybe. If you don't add the 1st I think you can get 2 from the second group but does the second group convince CB
