Jose Calderon boo'd at Jays game!

Article wrote:Of course, considering the ovation the Raptors were given after choking - not to mention the insipid cheering that greeted free pizza when the Raptors hit the 100-point mark – you could argue they were just feeding off a non-discriminating home crowd. Jose Calderon was booed louder when his mug was shown on the Rogers Centre video-board at Friday night’s Jays game.

Ouch!

 Some fans are some real big douchebags. Well at least we can be sure of who's staying next season, or just package them both away and get a good defensive point guard instead.

I mean, I want Jose traded...but cmon, that's a little much.

I'm worried that if he's dealt, he'll be booed on his first game back.

He doesn't deserve that.

If I saw Jose, I would kick him in the crotch, but I don't want to hurt his vagina.

Be careful what you wish for.The Raps have Banks, he's a pretty damn good defensive point, but I still can't think of more than one person who wants him to start.

As for Calderon: it's too bad for him that he can't enjoy the game in peace, but his team shat the bed so that's what you get.

I'm with Duffman btw, I think he should be moved.

Damn, that would really suck. Dude has been nothing but class since hes been here. Never really complained about anything, and seems to be a pretty nice guy and a great teammate. I really hope he doesn't get boo'd if/when he's traded just because BC overpaid him. Toronto would look like a bunch of morons.

I don't get how this is in the Jays forum when the other thread about Sonny & Jack at the Jays game wasn't moved.

You should probably complain about it. Because it's obviously extremely important.

lollerskates

He's a good person, hope he doesn't take it personally. It's not him as a person that was boo'd. It's him as a basketball player and representative of the Toronto Raptors.

Whoever booed him is a tool. Yes he is a terrible defender, but it isn't his fault...he is just not athletic enough to guard the pg position. It isn't as if he is trying to be a pylon..

A terrible defender but he has more heart than most of his teammates.
Stupid fans, no need to boo him, he's always been a class guy for the team, never complained and many times the only one player cheering for his teammates off the bench.

If he gets traded, i really hope nobody boos him when he's back.
Would just prove how ignorant some of our fans are.

Bad performance as a team = booing

When you are one of the biggest reasons for the team's underperforming season, expect to be booed. Players are getting paid millions and fans are paying to watch them, so its fair to fans to vent frustration at a bad performance. If I went to a concert and the band was performing like crap, Id boo too!

Ok, but say you went to another concert by another band, and the band from the first concert was in the audience, would you still boo em?

I can't believe some of you guys taking sides with Jose. He totally sucked this year. Class act? What about his comments he made to the Spanish newspaper. He was long over-due for this. Kudos to the fans for voicing their opinion.
This is one of the most important movies you will ever watch. Watch it free at google video.

What I don't get is why the sudden change of heart from the fans? Jose is the same guy he was 2 years ago except he's having a slight off year shooting wise. I mean, at his best he was a 12 ppg player, it's not like much has changed.

If you didn't hate him 2 years ago you really shouldn't hate him now, he's basically the same player. If anything his passing game improved this year to the point where he was generating easy baskets (alley oops) and dare I say it, he actually made teammates better (Amir).

Funny, wasnt that Jose playing 1st base yesterday?

His play has dropped off so fast after signing that big contract. He deserves whatever he gets from the fans. He's lucky its not 10x worse.

This is from a couple of years ago. I guess Jose is starting to hear it. First in the ACC with the boos and now the boos at the game.
