That's what Jose gets for supporting another sports franchise in the city he plays in.

He may not be the only reason, but he was one of the biggest factors for the underperforming season.

Damn, that's tough.

I want Jose traded as much as the next guy, but I wouldn't boo him. He has heart, and he tries hard, but he's just not good enough.

Probably not, I don't think Id waste any more energy than I already do to boo Calderon. Too bad sports players are public figures who will be blasted or loved by media according to how they perform. But thats why they are being paid the big bucks, to be able to perform and entertain the crowd by playing some good basketball.

If I was him and getting booed by home fans I'd probably just leave the game.

I'm a big Jose hater, but come on. You don't have to boo him at a jays game after the season. That's a bit much. Boo him at the ACC during a game there losing, sure, but not at a jays game.

+1 Might be a good time to move ahead with a different franchise, and start fresh. Unless he performs miracles (play decent defense), its hard for him to be greeted by fans.

I can't believe people don't want to come play for us. That's ignorant, we're a great city, very cosmopolitan.

Classless douchebaggery FTL.

Haha, +1. It cracks me up when Raps fans want to blame an irrational hatred of Canada or something as the reason why nobody wants to play for the Raps...guess it is a more convenient than the truth

Say what you want about Jose, but I bet your dumb asses were up cheering when he was lobbing those alley oops to Amir and Weems.

Toronto fans are definitley unique, in the way they treat players. They boo anyone and everyone, and resemble the WWF wrestling fan.

I brought this up a few days ago in the 'Weems and Jack at the Jays game' thread. Didn't think it was thread-worthy. I guess it was.

kl06ty wrote:Bad performance as a team = booing

When you are one of the biggest reasons for the team's underperforming season, expect to be booed. Players are getting paid millions and fans are paying to watch them, so its fair to fans to vent frustration at a bad performance. If I went to a concert and the band was performing like crap, Id boo too!

It really has nothing to do with the team and everything to do with Calderon as the night before Jack (and Weems) got a standing ovation. I don't think it's a reason to boo him when he's not on the basketball court but I am just as frustrated with his play this season as everyone else and I can understand when he voluntarily shows up at a Jays game that he is bound to face the (boo) music.

wow calderon is far from the main reason for this disappointing season. Toronto fans are too quick too boo.

Stupid.
"I definitely knew he traveled, but I didn't know they were going to call it. That was one of them situations in which a great player made a move...and they called the call. And I was like, 'Oh, man, there is a God.'

Yeah it was stupid to boo him, but hopefully it hurt his feelings enough that he went to BC and demanded a trade.
