To TOR: Iguodala + Walton
To LAL: Calderon + Green + 2011 PHI 2nd Round Pick
To PHI: Sasha + Evans + Rights to Henry (#13) + Lakers 2011 1st Round Pick + 6 million TE
Interesting ... the trade also works if you sub Jack (who's cheaper and a better fit for LA) for Calderon and make some adjustments.
To TOR: Iguodala
To LAL: Jack
To PHI: Sasha + Banks + TOR 2010 1st rounder + LAL 2011 1st rounder + cash from LA
Philly might want more for Iggy considering he turned 26 this year, doesn't have injury problems and his contract's not THAT bad. If we had to include DeRozan, I'd do it for Philly's future lottery-protected pick.

see but then why don't we do this then
Banks + Evans + #13 for Iggy
why would we add jack when we can do the same deal. Hell maybe..
To TOR: Iguodala
To MEM: Toronto 2011 2nd + Cash (Toronto)
To PHI: Rights to #13 + Rights to #29 (Lakers) + Evans + Banks
no need to give LA Jack for Sasha when there's other ways to get picks. If the above wasn't possible then
Banks + Evans + Belinelli + #13 + Cash for Iggy
same basic deal don't need to trow away Jack.

I'd prefer to keep Stew and give Monte Morris
I'd really prefer to keep Morris and Stew and give the great Killian Hayes and 2nd round picks

Re: Toronto Raptors 2010 Offcial Trade Ideas Thread
My offseason gameplan.
MOVE #1:
RAPS CHANGE IN TEAM OUTLOOK: -0.8 ppg, -6.9 rpg, and +0.1 apg.
Incoming Players
Chris Bosh (S&T)
6-10 PF from Georgia Tech
24.0 ppg, 10.8 rpg, 2.4 apg in 36.1 minutes
Hedo Turkoglu
0-0 from
11.3 ppg, 4.6 rpg, 4.1 apg in 30.7 minutes
Jose Calderon
6-3 PG from Spain (Foreign)
10.3 ppg, 2.1 rpg, 5.9 apg in 26.7 minutes
SPURS Change in Team Outlook: +0.8 ppg, +6.9 rpg, and -0.1 apg.
Outgoing Players
Richard Jefferson
6-7 SF from Arizona
12.3 ppg, 4.4 rpg, 1.9 apg in 31.1 minutes
Tony Parker
6-2 PG from France (Foreign)
16.0 ppg, 2.4 rpg, 5.7 apg in 30.9 minutes
Manu Ginobili
6-6 SG from Argentina (Foreign)
16.5 ppg, 3.8 rpg, 4.9 apg in 28.7 minutes
Im going on the assumption that the Spurs have a disappointing playoff run, and want to spice things up. Bosh goes to Texas, Raps Rebuild/Retool. I really dont know how the picks would work out. But this is a huge trade, so im assuming it wouldn't be a deal breaker.
Why for RAPS: An expiring in richard jefferson; get rid of hedo and calderons contract; pick up a legit starting point gaurd and wing player
why for SPURS: pick up young superstar big in his prime; legit championship contenders for the next 5 years
Move #3
Re Sign Amir Johnson. Nuff Said
Move #4
Raps Change in Team Outlook: +2.0 ppg, +4.2 rpg, and -0.8 apg.
Incoming Players
Emeka Okafor
6-10 PF / C from Connecticut
10.4 ppg, 9.1 rpg, 0.7 apg in 28.9 minutes
Outgoing Players
Reggie Evans
6-8 PF from Iowa
3.4 ppg, 3.8 rpg, 0.3 apg in 11.1 minutes
Marcus Banks
6-2 PG from UNLV
5.0 ppg, 1.1 rpg, 1.2 apg in 11.1 minutes
http://www.realgm.com/src_tradechecker/3/#ixzz0lVtXFf4K
Hornets Change in Team Outlook: -2.0 ppg, -4.2 rpg, and +0.8 apg.
Incoming Players
Reggie Evans
6-8 PF from Iowa
3.4 ppg, 3.8 rpg, 0.3 apg in 11.1 minutes
Marcus Banks
6-2 PG from UNLV
5.0 ppg, 1.1 rpg, 1.2 apg in 11.1 minutes
Outgoing Players
Emeka Okafor
6-10 PF / C from Connecticut
10.4 ppg, 9.1 rpg, 0.7 apg in 28.9 minutes
Why for Raps: Get there Legit C nexts to Bargs
wHY FOR HORNETS: They save a whole lot of money
http://www.realgm.com/src_tradechecker/3/#ixzz0lVt9dYt1
Move #4
I would then draft a legit C. Aldrich/Whiteside/
Manu will be the 6th man, perfecrt role for him anyways. It will also allow DD to develop his game by being a starter. The 13th pick shouldn't be rushed. He should develope nicely, right under Okafor. This team right here has a good balance of youth, grit, experience, defence, and offence. With Tony Parker and Jefferson expiring we will have some cap room for next summers FA signings.
Parker/Jack//min/
Derozan/Manu/Belli/
Jefferson/Weems/min/
Bargnani/Amir(MLE)/min
Oak/#13/min
The future looks bright. So what do you think.

That's a totally valid point, I'm just not convinced MLSE will ever spend that extra $3 mil to buy a pick - LA will have no problem throwing cash in, however. Also, I doubted LA's interest in Calderon as he's a really bad fit for the triangle.
To be honest, I'm not sure if there's any real urgency in Philly to move Iguodala, but he would look real nice in T.O.

i'm stuck on Arenas right now.
Arenas/Jack/Banks
DD/Weems/Belli
Hedo/Printezis/
Bosh/Amir
Bargnani/Whiteside/FA
it's not perfect but i like it. you can go uptempo or half court. you've got plenty of upside behind established vets.
nobody needs a change of scenery as much as Gilbert Arenas. hell, it's not my money.

Re: Toronto Raptors 2010 Offcial Trade Ideas Thread
i have another idea.
To Toronto: Andre Iguodala + Elton Brand
To Phoenix: Hedo Turkaglu + Reggie Evans + Rights to #13
To New York: Jose Calderon + 2.3 million trade exception
To Philadelphia: Jason Richardson + Eddy Curry + 3 million trade exception
*avoid tax
The Suns can look to make a move now and for the future by getting Hedo
NYK saves 2010 money, get a starting PG
PHI gets pure expiring contracts for Brand, they use Iggy to dump Brands contract and avoid tax.
Jack/Duhon(2.5 million of MLE)/Banks
Bell(2.5 million of MLE)/Derozan/Belinelli
Iguodala/Weems
Bosh/Brand/Dorsey
Bargnani/Powell (min)/C (min)

If Bargnani stuck to the bench he could be sixth man of the year.

Baron is underachieving himself, Jose's worth way more then Baron and we can get something better liek a wing player, btw Barons contract is longer and more horrible FORGET it , i'd get someone younger wing, RUDY GAY

The only way we realistically get Rudy Gay is if Bosh leaves. How else would we make a s&t work? I'd rather try to work a trade for Mayo+Thabeet

What about Devin Harris? We can put together a package for him with lets say Jose, Belli, Weems and 2010 and 2011 draft picks...

Did Harris ever say anything about leaving NJ? Cause if he potentially wants to leave and NJ don't get the first pick and John Wall then Jose wouldn't be a bad idea for a PG for them. That team will be rebuilding for the next 5 years.

I would swing for the fences and go for CP3 if they are desperate enough. We'll take their bad contracts in Okafor and Posey while giving them cap relief this year easily. I would first send Jose over for TJ's expiring contract and future lotto protected 1st( Pacers are looking for good character guys). Then move TJ + Banks + Evans + Beli + 13th pick + Indy Pick for CP3 + Okafor + Posey.
Move Bargs + Turk + Resigned Atoine Wright (For contract purpose) for Iggy + Brand
We get 2 horrible contracts and we go way over the luxury tax limit but we get a top player + a key wing player as well. Resign Amir to 4 year 20 mill deal.
Okafor/Amir/Rasho
Bosh/Brand
Iggy/Weems
Derozan/
CP3/Jack
We use the MLE and split it on Ray Allen and Matt Bonner. Get a couple second rounders to fill out the roster.
Okafor/Amir/Rasho
Bosh/Brand/Bonner
Iggy/Weems/Posey
Allen/Derozan
CP3/Jack
We have a a true contender that can withstand injuries and also compete defensively.
You have a top 5 PG and a top 5 PF. You have a slasher in Iggy. Shooter in Allen and the young Gunz to play from the bench. A bit small at the 5 spot but strong enough to compensate for it.

Apparently Portland is willing to lock up Camby for 2 more years, does it mean Greg Oden is on the block? I mean I wouldn't mind gambling on him if the price is right? it may include draft picks because he is still very young and has promise. However we all know the knee is just destroyed.?
Also is Joel pryzbilla FA?

check the salaries; that won't work
and lol I just saw the second half of your post, you really think Ray Allen will leave Boston to sign with the Raptors for a PORTION of the MLE?

Re: Toronto Raptors 2010 Offcial Trade Ideas Thread
http://www.realgm.com/src_checktrade.ph ... id=5503987
After listening to Bryan's press conference today and taking in his comments as well reading between the lines a little ...
This trade means Bosh resigned with us and the haters world came crashing down.
The trade id above indicates a traded player Raptors Guard Marco Bellineli (swap Marco's name instead with a signed and traded Antoine Wright re: BC comments) - couldn't use Wrights salary since he's already in the last year of his deal and the season is over. The trade checker doesn't allow this player to be traded in the checker. For this example, just looking ahead to the offseason and when trades can start to take place after the playoffs...etc, just being as detailed as possible as to the reasons why I structured the deal in such a manner, I've been flammed before for not forming complete sentences my Weems was almost waived post. It's a classic!
IMO
This gives L.A. Clippers another young stud (DeRozan) to build around and gives them a young off guard to contrast Blake Griffin and current project C DeAndre Jordan. Three very young core players / lottery picks who could grow together for the Clippers organization. Baron won't be taking them to the promise land....I have this gut feeling.
As far as the Point Guard position for the Clips, when you trade a former all star for an injection of youth into a roster that isn't going anywhere it will be perceived as a lop sided deal infavor of Toronto (for a change haha).
Calderon is an upgrade over Blake, Gordon is not a true point man to run an offense, Calderon is capable and less of a cap hit for L.A. and less injury prone than Baron (btw I doubt he's untouchable).
Toronto gets a lead guard with granted declining skills, but I'll take Baron on my team when the direction is to win now, Bosh won't tolerate another year of missed post season as part of the Raptors organization.
Summary for those that forget to check the trade id
Tor gets Baron Davis, and maybe a Pick would have to be included? I'm not sure I can select this in the trade checker again for that I apologize.
L.A. gets Calderon, Derozan, Wright
Jack is the 2nd tier guard like it or not JJ must bow down to B. Diddy.

@ Davis for Calderon, Deorzan and Belinelli.Seriously, we're taking on a overweight Davis who has an atrocious contract, much worst than Calderon's. He shoots a horrible percentage and is injury prone. I know Jose is playing like crap but trading away a first year player in Derozan who still can develop into a great starter just so we can get a worst contract is hilarious.

Re: Toronto Raptors 2010 Offcial Trade Ideas Thread
what about a trade like...bargnani and turk for richard jefferson!i know the salaries does not match this way,but with a filler,i think,it could be done...and after that a trade like banks, evans for okafor or dalembert...and if we get really lucky i would like to see calderon, derozan and a pick for baron davis or mo pete/collison/songaila...
san antonio would definitely be better, because jefferson clearly doesn't fit and turk has already played for popovich...and bargnani would be a good upgrade when you think of mcdyess or bonner...
trading for okafor is more likely imo, because dalembert is expiring too...so new orleans would only do this for saving money...
the last trade would be great both ways...i would love to see baron or collison next to cb4...it would convince him to stay, because he would be the franchise player again instead of being the second guy whereever he goes...and a lineup like this looks pretty good to me...
davis/jack
weems/bellinelli
jefferson/wright(resigned if possible)
bosh/amir(resigned)
okafor/rasho(vet min)
or
collison/jack
weems/bellinelli
jefferson/mo pete
bosh/amir/songaila
okafor/rasho
i would love it both ways...
