Morey vs. Solomon

Post#1 » by Mr. E » Mon Apr 19, 2010 8:14 pm

@JeromeSolomon Chron circulation is down every year since you joined. Wow, "analysis" w/o thought, context, or an alternative plan is easy!

looks like Morey finally got sick of Jerome Solomon's attacks!

Haha he's been sick of the dude for a while, and has had a few other tweets toward that sentiment. Solomon's kinda dumbish, don't blame him.

p.s.
http://blogs.chron.com/jeromesolomon/20 ... ets_2.html
REALLY don't blame him. Does solomon post here?

If you don't think that's sad, you probably haven't looked at just how much better Dallas and San Antonio have been for the past decade-plus compared to your Rockets. Or how much better they are right now than your Rockets.

Who was GM for the first 2/3 of the decade? Oh.. right... NOT Morey, got it.
How many GMs can prevent injuries to key players, again? None? Got it.

Solomon
a) Doesn't understand the effect of randomness on sports (or probably life, either)
b) Doesn't understand that we're currently on plan L due to loads of bad luck
c) Is comparing apples to cephalopods while calling the former "too tinny"
d) Doesn't understand efficiency, salary cap limitations / management, cost vs. production, or any of the other areas I'm sure are involved in managing the roster.
e) Doesn't care that injuries and other misfortunes happen and probably would have crucified the Celtics over Len Bias and Reggie Lewis in the 90s

WE WON 42 GAMES WITH A PAYROLL OF 31.43 MILLION (prorated), YOU BLUBBERING NINCOMPOOP

(Option B is that the Chron has him playing devil's advocate just to stir up readership...)
Morey 2020.

1st Blinebury, now Solomon.

And people wonder why the Chron has the largest circulation of any paper in America to have NEVER won a Pulitzer.

Solomon should be fired now!! what is up with this "your Rockets" quote. Chron needs to hire homers for their sports section.

How about we start with simply "literate" and see where that leads?

I enjoyed fran blinebury's blogs more than the square writing style and totally straight forward jonathan faggen. Blinebury writes for nba.com now

Eddie Sefko was a lot better than Blinebury, before he defected, turned traitor, and no longer exists.

Feigen rocks for realistic angles, and has the occasional scene behind the scene, but yeah, generally not a storyteller.
