Ike or Carter? I'd be pleasantly surprised if its Ike... knowing our management I think it will be Carter who is still better than keeping Jacobs around.

And am I the only one that thinks Maine is done? He'd been off for 2 years running now, I would've rather kept Livan around and tried Maine as a reliever. I know its early, but its not looking good.

Ike called up. Mejia should be sent down to stretch the arm. By now it's evident him in the bullpen is going to do nothing. I was OK with it as long as we resembled a team, but we are a joke.

i just hope the mets are smart enough to think to send him down by the allstar break for a few starts to stretch out his arm and then call him up to finish the 2nd half as a starter to get the 130-140 innings he needs.

but mets and smart don't go together.

I wouldn't mind this at all. However like you said the odds of that happening are slim to nil.

well he did hit .300 and 20 homers in the minors then went on to hit 6 homruns for team usa in september then went on to hit 4 homeruns in afl.

so that's 30 homeruns in 150+ games.
