2010 NBA Playoffs "Who Ya Got?" +/- Topic

It's that time again, another Post-season round of +/-! We still don't have a Grand Supreme Champion for the season but the playoff +/- will help us crown that champion and a new one for the post season. For those of us who struggled during the season to figure out our own wolves, maybe we will have more success figuring out real NBA player! Let's find out and get this thing rolling.

First lets go over the premise:

The Game: Playing the +/- game is simple. You pick any player before the game and you watch them play. Anything that player scores above his average gives you + points. Anything the player scores below his average give you - points. The goal is to have the most + points by the end of the week. Whoever has the most points by the end of the week is the weekly winner.

Example: You pick Dwayne Wade and he goes off for 55 points. Since Wade averages 25 PPG you would get +30 for that night. Conversely if Wade played and got 1 point, you would get -24.

Important Rules and Guidelines:

-You can change your pick at anytime before the game*
*(You can not change your player if he is already started playing.)

-Numbers WILL NOT be rounded. If a player is averaging 19.9 PPG it will count as 19.

-If you pick a player and they do not play you get 0 points, you don't lose or gain anything.

-You can pick any number of "insurance" players if you are unsure if your player will play.

-Do not make your picks for the next days games until after the current game is finished.

-The Calrissian rule: This rule states that any player who is coming back from injury or newly signed and has yet to play a game and thus has zero points to their average, cannot be used until they have at least 3 games under their belt.

-For the first round will be using players season averages. In the second round and beyond we will switch to playoff averages.

-You can not request one player for multiple games. Eg: You can't say "Give me Dwight for the week or give me Dirk for a series.


DON'T FORGET: Basti and cpfsf while playing for a new, post-season crown, are also still playing to determine the regular season winner. This is explained in the Timberwolves +/- topic.

What a nice change. Finally we are seeing some huge swings as player can actually produce unlike the wolves. The high man of the night was D-Will with a tremendous +15. The low man of the night was JR Smith with -6.
