why toronto does it: clearly to get a scoring wing and a defensive C everyone is happy

Why PHI does it: they drop Iggys contract and Brands contract also get 11 mil in expiring's they get a prospect in DD and they get get a player they Ellis who they can move for more cap relief/ picks to a playoff team later in the season.

Why GSW does it: 2 lottery picks this year plus scoring up front where they need it, and a PG so that Curry can play more SG which is apparently where they want him to play. Also may be able to move Brand in the future.

Like I said just a thought no idea if GSW would ever do it.

After listening to Bryan's press conference today and taking in his comments as well reading between the lines a little ...

This trade means Bosh resigned with us and the haters world came crashing down.

The trade id above indicates a traded player Raptors Guard Marco Bellineli (swap Marco's name instead with a signed and traded Antoine Wright re: BC comments) - couldn't use Wrights salary since he's already in the last year of his deal and the season is over. The trade checker doesn't allow this player to be traded in the checker. For this example, just looking ahead to the offseason and when trades can start to take place after the playoffs...etc, just being as detailed as possible as to the reasons why I structured the deal in such a manner, I've been flammed before for not forming complete sentences my Weems was almost waived post. It's a classic!

This gives L.A. Clippers another young stud (DeRozan) to build around and gives them a young off guard to contrast Blake Griffin and current project C DeAndre Jordan. Three very young core players / lottery picks who could grow together for the Clippers organization. Baron won't be taking them to the promise land....I have this gut feeling.

As far as the Point Guard position for the Clips, when you trade a former all star for an injection of youth into a roster that isn't going anywhere it will be perceived as a lop sided deal infavor of Toronto (for a change haha).

Calderon is an upgrade over Blake, Gordon is not a true point man to run an offense, Calderon is capable and less of a cap hit for L.A. and less injury prone than Baron (btw I doubt he's untouchable).

Toronto gets a lead guard with granted declining skills, but I'll take Baron on my team when the direction is to win now, Bosh won't tolerate another year of missed post season as part of the Raptors organization.

Tor gets Baron Davis, and maybe a Pick would have to be included? I'm not sure I can select this in the trade checker again for that I apologize.

L.A. gets Calderon, Derozan, Wright

Jack is the 2nd tier guard like it or not JJ must bow down to B. Diddy.

.... how about no. Have you watched Davis the past 2 seasons? He doesnt warrant anything close to Derozan. Ill give them Calderon + Evans for Davis though.

I know it's a long shot, but if you look at it from the Nets perspective if they get Wall, they get close to 12 million in expiring contracts for next year, and including the draft pick get 3 young players. They get Banks to be as the back up for Wall. I know they pick up Reggie, but we get Dooling who the Raps can then deal in another trade with Jose and/or Jack.

Naturally Nets wouldn't do this deal, but what if Harris demands a trade? But then again there are probably gonna be teams with better deals than this... sigh...

That would be pretty good. I like the idea of getting Harris and getting rid of Calderon at the same time. I'd even throw in Belinelli if we had to. I'm just worried that other teams could get a better deal for Harris. At the same time, a 1st+Belinelli(expiring)+Calderon is pretty good. I think Jose would do well coming off the bench, but that's a lot to pay for a backup PG who will hardly play behind Wall.

Yeah I could see Baron Davis being a target of Colangelo's for sure.

If the theme of the offseason is to trade for bad contracts to get better then there are some ways we can accomplish this. Complicating but dooable.

Philly wants to get rid of Brand's contract and Warriors want to get rid of Biedrins and MAggetes contracts. Nelly loves big men who can shoot as well. Philly wants immediate cap relief

Send Jose for TJ to get an expiring.

Send TJ + Evans + Banks + Beli + Weems(22 mill out) + 13th pick for Iggy + Brand + Dally (39 mill in)
Send Brand + Bargs(22 mill out) to Warriors for Biedrins + Maggette (18.5 mill in) to Toronto and Radmo(6.5mill expiring) to Philly

We get 2 centres to play with Bosh. Get Iggy as our slasher and Corey as the other person to attack the rim. Spend full MLE on Felton or Lowry, resign Amir and you are off to the races:

Way over priced but makes sense for all. Philly gets all expirings for this coming year. Warrios deal would work around how much they like Bragnani. If Nelly really wants him he would rather have Brand play undersized centre for him to get someone like Bargs. We might even have to throw the first rounder(13th pick) to the warriors instead of the sixers since sixers basically get all expirings for Brand and Iggy.
