If Joe leaves, how about Allen?

Post#1 » by Harry10 » Wed Apr 21, 2010 1:22 am

If Joe leaves, how about Allen....... Iverson :D

or Ray Allen

it would be funny if Iverson was made the starter if Joe left, he is a ball hog like Joe and he did play for Larry Brown and could play for Woody.

but Ray Allen could be a safe option if Joe leaves. he fits into the system, and he is a vet with alot of playoff expereince. even though he is getting older, his game doesn't really rely on athletism and i think he could be a 20ppg scorer if he was the #1 option again.

I think we should stop talking about potential replacements for JJ. Save that for the offseason. This is playoff time.

PS: Ray Allen cant lead a team anymore.
Is it to much to ask for a team that plays hard and cares? Seems so.

I'm....gonna allow it. :)

No to Iverson. He is a locker room killer. Everyplace he leaves now a days does better after he's gone.

Ray Allen would be a solid addition. Veteran, all-star, champion. Solid citizen. But he can't create his own offense and is a below average ball handler and defender. Most of his game is coming off screens or hitting open shots when the defense traps the post. He can definitely play a complementary role as a scorer, but as a number one option playing beside Bibby....or J Craw. That would be catastrophic.

I was convinced that the Hawks would take Iverson on a short contract rather than paying Bibby just to increase attendance. When they didn't take him last season I just don't see them going after him this season.

And I also can't see Ray Allen signing for the MLE with the Hawks which is all they could offer.

We should really just draft Jeremy Lin and then sign Sun Yue. I swear, like 40% of Nets fans who attend games are Chinese.
