OT: Synergy Sports Tech

Post#1 » by KF10 » Tue Apr 20, 2010 7:12 am

There is a poster in GB that talks about the services it provides. Here is the link:

viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1004522

Essentially, it is a site that lets you see essentially everything! Meaning that I could see every Tyreke Evans pick and rolls, transition plays, assists, blocks, isolation situations, his defense...Everything! Also, there is a lot of stats too! For example, I could how much times Evans go one on one throughout the season. It details how successful his isolation are or how unsuccessful they are. How much it results to turnovers or results to AND 1s.

Also, you can see how successful the team is on offense/defense and etc.

It's amazing stuff. But there is a catch, there is a fee. The fee is $30 until September. So, you have like over 6 months to do whatever you want on it.

I think it is worth it. I payed the fee and didn't regret it at all. There is so much data and videos you can watch from. It's essentially heaven for me.

If you are a stat nerd (like myself) or you just want to re-live all of the action in the past season (and playoffs), I recommend it.

I bet you didn't know that the Kings are among the best in the L in defending isolation type plays.

We are 4th in the L. The success rate of isolation plays of the opposing teams is only 39.7%.

But we are among the worst in defending the spot up shots and the player that "sets the pick" and does whatever i.e. jumpshot, cut to the basket, etc. The success rate of the opposing team that spots up is 41.6%. And the success rate of the player that sets the pick and scores is 56.8%.

....

There is a wealth of information in the site. If any of you guys have any money lying around, you guys should really look into this.

That's sure as hell not surprising. We always hedged out way too far on guards and we'd get burned every time.

Anyway, I'm thinking about getting it. There's a much more advanced version that NBA teams purchase (27 of them I believe) for thousands of dollars, but just to be able to see into it a bit would be really cool, I'd think.

How often do we get burned with the corner 3 off the drive and dish? That's the singular play that KILLS me everytime I see it happen.

It's no suprisr that the kings did a terrible job on spot up shooters we never seemed to rotate very quickly after collapsing on a penetrator always seemed to result in that corner 3 pointer.

Return to Sacramento Kings
