Hey CellarDoor,

You might have to change your name. Look at all those assist numbers for your starters. . . all that sharing isn't very Ayn Rand; you could be the Democratic Socitlist party instead

I'd argue that the egoist would love stats indiscriminately. An assist would also be giving them credit for their production :)

K. If you are near the ends of the order and KNOW you have two spots close together, please either leave a list or stick around for a while.

Otherwise the last 5 rounds are going to take an eternity. The ends of the order are supposed to be the fastest parts.

I had suggested something in conversation with TMAC . . . after the 6th round, when picks are not as crucial and things generally really start to drag, why don't we use an open pick session. Set a time . . . like 4P EST (throw the time open to discussion) and say that for the last 6 rounds each day at that time we throw open a new round of picking.

First one to claim a player whose time stamp is after the chosen time gets that player. If you try to claim a player and someone else posts first, you can repost immediately until you have successfully made your choice for that round. If you aren't able to post around that time, you can leave a list either with someone not in the competition who can try to post for you, or with someone in the competition who will post for you just after they post their own. Or you can wait and post later in the day or the next day at some point.

Again, the key here is that 6th to 12th round picks aren't going to be that crucial to winning or losing this competition so we can speed things up, add an element of excitement, and finish drafting within a week after round 6 ends. This also avoids the grumbling about slow posters and Snake feeling forced to autopick for people. Hopefully everyone can at least check in once a day.

I like it.

We'll declare a free for all (1 pick per day only) starting at 4pm EST, ending when the last person makes a pick.

No picks can be made before that time, and people who already have a 6th round pick will have to wait until the next designated time.

You can PM me if you want Cellar . . . 4PM EST is usually pretty doable for me assuming no crises or parents show up.

If people have issues with it we can push the timing of the free for all back, but I'm not going to change the round it starts in. Its already confusing enough as it is.

Now that the 24 hour mark has passed, perhaps it is time to discuss other options relating to BI, including skipping and autopicking (both of which I hate to do).

I haven't been on since you declared the free-for-all. No worries, I'll be here for the next round.

Trouble is, I'd want to give people at least a certain amount of warning before starting it, and I'm not sure how late people stay up.

I was hoping a whole bunch of people would say YEAH LETS DO IT too. Otherwise it just benefits the few that are here.
