To be honest we SHOULD move jose before turk considering our PG situation is the worst... turk doesnt even have to play if necessary, its not a huge deal if were stuck with him because he can only get better at this point. Calderon and Bosh for a defensive C and a PG. Any ideas for a PG and C?

If San Antonio are willing, George Hill + Blair makes the most sense to me. This draft seems to have a few potential defensive big men as well. I agree with moving Jose first as well- and i think a team like the Lakers would gladly take him.. who cares what we get back. Adam Morrison or whatever. Buy a late first rounder.

Re-sign Amir and sit back and watch the kids develop. I'd be ok with that off season.

c Bargs / Amir / Sanders?
f Blair / Dorsey
f Hedo / George?
g Hill / Jack
g Derozan / Weems / Bello

I'm hoping the trade is to Houston or San Antonio & surely they will be on Bosh's 'list'. If the trade is to Miami, i'll be hoping for more trades to follow (you can't play Beasley and Bargnani). If the trade is to Chicago, and I still don't see why it should be, then that will suck.

I really like Noah and I believe the Bulls could be a contender with Rose/Bosh/Noah, but the above mentioned line-up could be even better, potentially. Admittedly, it's quite a long shot, as the Bulls could also conceivably work out something like a S&T for Amare where they do not have to give up Noah.

It has generally been assumed that Amare would not be getting a 6 year offer from anyone. He, according to Phoenix fans, asked for an extension that amounted to 5/85 and Phoenix turned it down. It is very likely that Lee, Amare and Boozer will all be signed directly by teams under the cap.

I heavily suspect that Amare will go to Miami on day one of free agency for a 5 year max deal, no sign and trade.

If true, Chicago will be in a position where they can either sign Boozer or Lee directly on day 1 or wait and negotiate with Toronto in hopes that something can be worked out for Bosh, which is obviously very dangerous for them.

Last note: Stuff out of the Chicago media indicates that Joe Johnson is actually their number 1 target after Wade turns them down. For whatever reason, Bosh does not seem to be very much on the radar of the Chicago sports media. It makes no sense given the obvious fit and need, but that's where we are at.

With the way he's been playing since the all-star break I'm betting on him getting a 6 year 130 mil deal.

I think you overestimate the number of owners willing to pay Amare $26M when he is 33 years old.

Is there a chance the Raps can get Beasley without giving up Bosh. Say Miami is unable to attract any top FA's, would the be interested in Turkoglu/Jack combo?

Why would we want Beasley and Bosh? Or are we just dealing Bosh for other assets? That said, I think Jack might be able to net Beasley, but the question is, is he worth it? I think Beasley could do really well given a change of scenery, things just haven't gone so well for him in Miami. He has a lot of upside (he's just 21), but at the same time there's a lot of risk too.

I doubt Jack alone can net Beasley. Beasly is a natural SF but because of his lazy defense he was shifted to a PF, where he is undersized and his defense is not good. I think he has more chances to have decent defense at his natural position of SF. I am one of the few who still believes Beasley can be Melo-like and his strong rebounding would really help out the Bosh - Bargnani front court.

This is the best realistic scenarios I can come up with involving teams with immediate capspace. We're going to get lowball offers, you better beleive it cuz that's the way the NBA system works.

Bosh traded to the Nets for Yi Jianlian and 2011 and 2012 1st round picks(MLSE will accept as Yi will attract a large Chinese fanbase).
Bosh traded to Miami for Michael Beasley, our owed conditional 1st round pick and Miami's own pick(We get a young SF/PF and also get our own pick back from Miami).
Bosh traded to Clippers for Deandre Jordan, Clippers 2010 and 2011 1st round pick(Promising young C to pair with Andrea and we get 2 picks)
Bosh traded to Sacramento for Jason Thompson and 2010 1st round pick(A promising front court player and potentially high 2010 lottery pick)

San Antonio looks like a good bet for a sign and trade. If we can get Jefferson + Hill + Blair + pick (?) for Bosh + expirings ... start the rebuild.

what about

Brooks + Jeffries + Battier + Hill + Houston 2011 1st Round Pick (Option to swap with NYK) for Bosh + Jack

Brooks/Calderon/Banks
Battier/Derozan/Belinelli
Turkaglu/Weems
Udoh(#13)/Hill/Evans
Bargnani/Johnson/Jeffries

i then use Banks + Battier + Evans + Jeffries which is 24 million expiring contracts, maybe go after Iguodala at the SG spot.

Brooks/Calderon/Banks
Derozan/Weems/Belinelli
Iguodala/Turkaglu
Udoh/Hill
Bargnani/Johnson

would be my ideal rebuild lineup.

2 expiring vets that help now. A young big to add to the Scottie timeline
I'd prefer to keep Stew and give Monte Morris
I'd really prefer to keep Morris and Stew and give the great Killian Hayes and 2nd round picks

First step YES!, second step NO! Our defense has not change all that much, there is ALOT of money tied up at the 3 spot. I would look to keep Battier, get rid of Jose and get a TRUE bruising human eraser at the C spot. Maybe something like Jose + Expirings to Miami for Joel Anthony + Mario Chalmers (add in fillers obviously)?

Since when does Weems bring any kind of defense to the court anyway?

No.

But to hear Ira Winderman of the Sun-Sentinal, the Heat should flip him to a team with cap space or a trade exception for nothing, to increase Miami's cap space.

I know this is a ridiculous question, I even laughed at myself for thinking about it. BUT.....

Considering that pretty much every single NBA team will go after LeBron. Do you think that Colagelo will extend some sort of sign and trade offer to his agent?

I know there's virtually no chance that we would get him, but I'm curious if BC would even attempt it.

If Bosh goes, I'd rather keep Banks and Evans and let them expire instead of trading them for a longer contract. I'm not sure if BC would still make a play for Noc or not. The only way I'd consider it is if they threw in their second rounder this year to make up for the salary we're taking on.

However, whom ever Bosh chooses....THAT team will get a very good deal on Bosh. If that team can afford to sign Bosh as a FA...that team will get Bosh for next to nothing.

If Bosh says "Miami is the best fit for me, that is where I'm going". You either S&T him there and take back whatever you can get (TPE, 2nd round pick)....or face a very ugly, public stand-off.

Such a stand-off of is bad business for Toronto. You are not going to be able to "pimp" a player that popular, and an agent that powerful.

This has nothing to do with the value of Chris Bosh, this is based 100% on the position the BC now finds himself in.

A TPE and a second round pick, . BC won't find Tdot so welcoming if that's what Raps get while placing Bosh next to Wade.

I'm realistic, the time to cash in on Bosh was a couple years ago. But if that's the best the Raptors can do let him walk.

yeah it really depends. If Bosh comes up with a list of teams he doesn't mind going to then BC's options are wide open because that list is sure to include all the big western teams close to Bosh's home. Then it becomes a matter of who wants him most. A bidding war would be best case scenario for the Raptors.

However, if Bosh says Miami, Chicago or I am walking- then we are at the mercy of those teams. Bosh hasn't given any indication that he's going to do anything like that so far, but we'll know pretty soon.
