I sure would like to see the whole Georgia football team come on the field and celebrate again like the Florida game.

All for Hawai'i being given a shot like Mason, i.e. playoff.
However, Hawai'i most definitely did not earn my respect in the sense of me thinking they're in the debate for a top 2 team in the country, and so I'd much rather the teams I think are better be given that opportunity if there is no playoff.

This is probably the most one-sided major bowl game I've ever seen. The Hawaii OL has been consistently whipped by a 3-man rush, with one LB dogging most of the time.
Just looking at the players when they unpile and such--Georgia has so much more size at every spot except the aforementioned Warriors OL, and their bigger size is faster than Hawaii to boot. Hawaii looks like Central Michigan.

My only disappointment is that Richt called off the dawgs early. I wanted to break 50 and keep them out of the endzone. We held Moreno back because of his ankle and he still had his way with them in his very limited carries. That was the most extreme case of "the battle is won in the trenches" that I have ever seen.
Losing only a few real impact seniors (who will be missed) and gaining players like Caleb King, AJ Green and Tavarres King + a much more experienced defense = a fun 2008. It's too bad Florida is going to be improving just as much. That may be the game that decides which team is undefeated at the end of the year.

That is if he can pass his classes, and by using his past, that isn't a lock.
Some of the defense will be more experience, bust some of them are leaving also. Flowers and Kelin are seniors, ellerbe is a junior who could go pro, howard is also a senior. The o-line will also once again be young with Velasco and adams both graduating. Losing some key secondary and two more o-line will hurt.

Flowers isn't much of a loss. Kelin is an emotional leader but I always thought he was a bit overrated on the field. Solid playmaker but not very consistent. I will miss Howard but UGA is DE-U. We have plenty of depth there. I doubt Ellerbe goes pro. He doesn't have that much exposure yet and I'm sure they all realize the very real championship hope they have next year.
I'm going to miss Velasco and Adams but I have faith in our depth. Everyone thought our OL was going to be weak this year but they proved everyone wrong. We're definitely gaining a lot more than we're losing.
And Doctor MJ, even though UGA dominated I'm still disappointed knowing that it doesn't really mean anything. We should have played USC. Just take care of easy business against South Carolina and we would be playing OSU.

The game definitely hurts not just because we should have won but because we had all the plays right there in front of us. I have nightmares of Moreno streaking wide open down the side line with only a LB within 10 yards of him and Stafford just overthrows him. Just one of his bad misses that would have given us the lead.
Auburn disagrees with the rest of your post, though. With a playoff no team can legitimately cry about getting screwed. I'm fine with college football the way it is. At least until Georgia goes 12-0 and misses out.
