The Bears announced that restricted free agent LB Jamar Williams had signed his one-year tender offer Wednesday afternoon. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Williams had a career-high 49 tackles during the 2009 season with two pass breakups and 10 special-teams stops in 16 games. In Week 13 against the Rams, Williams recorded a career-high 19 tackles while starting at weak-side linebacker, the third-most by a Bears player in a single game since at least 1995.

Entering his fifth NFL season in 2010, the 2006 fourth-round draft pick (120th overall) has 78 defensive tackles, one sack, six pass breakups and 43 special-teams stops in 51 career games with the Bears.

very happy that everyone is back. Now lets see if we can move Hunter for a 4th round pick

LB is our strongest position as long as everyone stays healthy.
A plea for post scoring is a plausible Bulls plan, but plainly isn't a priority. In response to a post player's dismay about his lack of points in the paint, Paxson said.... "I'm not nearly as concerned about the offensive stuff as he is."

Make Roach the primary backup middle linebacker then?
