No.

But to hear Ira Winderman of the Sun-Sentinal, the Heat should flip him to a team with cap space or a trade exception for nothing, to increase Miami's cap space.

3-team with Minnesota, they don't need Beasley but we could offer the Jack+Weems or something else they long for. Minny can be a further trade partner once Bosh decides not to resign as they were rumoured/speculated about trading Jefferson or Love.

Would like us to get rid of Hedo and Calderon for more athletic guys. So anything with Bosh + Hedo + Calderon gone is okay with me. A trade with Houston or Atlanta would be nice. Plus a top 5 pick in 2010 draft.

The best team for Bosh is Chicago...with Rose,Noah, Deng it has the best core, great city....

So if Tor makes sign and trade Deng is the best you can get back

Like a lot of other posters, I'm coming around to the idea that the best team for Bosh is actually OKC. Obviously not a Chicago-level city, but it's close to home, has an even better core, and he can hang around with Warren Buffet.

Also, once the rumours of Bosh going to OKC start up, watch how heavy and hard the Lakers and Rockets up the ante.

I've seen a couple of people mention that Gasol might be available in a S&T, rather than the usual Bynum rumour. Has this come up anywhere legit, or is it a complete fabrication? If the Raps could get Gasol, I think they'd jump on that immediately.

I don't think people here understand how sign and trades work. Look, Bosh is gone. The only thing he wants from the Raptors is the extra 30 million on his contract. To that end, he will weigh his options and decide on a particular team that has cap space. The team has to have cap space or Bosh has no leverage to go to the Raps. At that point, faced with losing Bosh to that team no matter what, they might as well get some minor piece or picks back.

These people take their money very seriously, Bosh is not going to make a list of teams he wouldn't mind going to as another poster put it. He will bring to the Raps the team he is for sure going to even if the Raps don't sign him before. That way he has security in his new team and leverage over the Raps.

I think Houston might be the best fit. Bosh would be the #1 guy there but have a legit scoring guard, defensive wing and rebounding C (if Yao wasn't coming back)

Would love to get Jeff Green from OKC ... don't know if OKC does it, but Bosh has a better power-forward body and is a better low post threat. Him and Durant would tear it up and make them instant contenders in the West. Green is very good, but not at Bosh's level.

I'm sure OKC would be all for it. Hopefully we could get a little more than just Green though, perhaps Maynor too. I'd love Ibaka, but I don't see that happening.

Sign+trade Bosh for Green+Maynor+Collison(expiring)

or

Sign+trade Bosh for Green + 1st + TPE

I know this isn't just a litte more but from what I've heard (can't say i've watched OKC) Harden hasn't exactly tore it up so would a d Green + Harden + Salary (Collison) for Bosh be realistic?

It'll probably be Bosh for Taj Gibson, James Johnson, Omer Asik and a future 1st
why was hakeem called "the dream"??"

Because it rhymes with 'Olajuwon'.

if Bosh goes to Chicago one of Gibson, Noah is going to be expendable. I don't think it's going to take much to convince the bulls to let let go of one of them. the last thing that team needs is another situation like they had with deng, gordon, hinrich.

That wouldn't be too bad, when you think about it. Although I don't really know anything about this Omer Asik guy.

I'm not sure, but I'd think that Harden would be tough to get. Still though, Green+Maynor+salary(Collison) is a pretty decent return. Perhaps we could even get a 1st as it wouldn't be in the lottery anyways.

OKC would look pretty damn good with Bosh there instead of Green.

Westbrook
Sefolosha / Harden
Durant
Bosh
Krstic / Ibaka

That's assuming Bosh chooses a team that has cap space. The only teams with cap space that will be attractive to him are Chicago and Miami. What if he tells BC he wants to go to an established contender? None of them have cap space, which would give the Raptors some leverage.

That never happens, because it puts the player in a very insecure position. He's not gonna go through the motions of negotiating with a team when there's a chance the Raptors could just say no to the trade and then he's scrambling to make a deal with another team. Players simply don't take those kinds of chances.

What makes you think every team is going to let the player control the process?

Whether a team has cap space or not, it's not going to sit on its butt waiting for phone call.

I'm going to pretend that I'm Mitch Kupchak, and the Lakers just got ousted by the Thunder to everyone's shock and awe. I Want Bosh, too, to shake things up, and I also want Jose Calderon because my backcourt sucks and I need somebody to run the triangle and force the ball into my bigs who enjoy a height advantage with pretty much every team in the West.

Do I sit and wait for Bosh's agent to call me?

Of course not. The day after the Lakers were eliminated, I was on the phone to Bryan Colangelo with an idea that began "What if you can't sign Bosh..."

"Hear me out Bryan, I know you want to sign him, but I want to give you a Plan B we can agree on because on July 1, I want to go to his house in Dallas, with Kobe Bryant, and sell him on playing with the Lakers. Part of our sales pitch is that we can make Toronto come along with this quickly.

"So Bryan, this is what I am thinking. Two separate trades to give you a trade exception. Bosh sign and trade for the max, you get Andrew Bynum. Then Jose Calderon and Marco Belinelli for Sasha Vujacic, Luke Walton and our 2012 first rounder. You get a bit of cap relief starting in 2011 plus a pick. Luke's deal goes as long as Jose's but ends up saving you $4 million in that final year. I need to put Luke in there because I have to keep using my mid-level exception and while Jerry is very generous with his money, Bosh's salary is more than Andrew's, so it's a big hit.

"If we can agree on this, I'm going to Bosh and tell that we can do a deal with you that leaves Toronto in a better position than just getting a pick and a trade exception, but it also makes us a contender again next season. He won't have to wait 2-3 years for Miami or New York to assemble a supporting cast. With a healthy Kobe, we'll be championship ready.

"He gets to go Hollywood, and you get to send him out West.

"By the way, any interest in Ron Artest? For Hedo? Well, I'll have to get back to you on that one... it may be a while"

I like your thinking, but man, that's a **** load of money. Better hope LA falters badly in the playoffs.

I'm not particularly fond of fan fiction, but that part about calderon running the triangle was great. The triangle is not run. It calls for a pg that can defend and get to open spots to shoot. The lakers would sooner keep starting the corpse of derek fisher than take on calderon.
