And also I'm considering that CP3 is injured. Deron is better than Roy. Duncan is past his prime. If KG isn't on that list, Duncan shouldn't be there. Also, Pau Gasol's spot should be replaced with Melo. These are just semantics. But any of those players are more expensive than #10 (a mid-pick after the projected stars go) + Hansbrough (totally unproven and undesirable to many GM's) + Hibbert (not even an all-star).

I was talking about winning now. If that's the case then I forgot KG and Melo, add them on there.

You are right in that the Pacers would never sign on for that price. I would be stunned if anyone else would trade a lottery pick and two highly valued prospects for Ellis either.

For that price they are out of their damn minds. We better get a top ten player in the league if we are giving out first, Hibbert, and Hansborough. Get outta here w/ that noise.
Which is to say, don't shop where the price tags freak you out. Look for what ya can get for what you want to pay...and I think that you don't want Ellis enough to make an interesting offer...since all those assets have been ruled out. You could get Louis Williams from the Sixers relatively cheap.
Not sure that gets you any of the "top 10" depending on who you think they are.

Perhaps...yet GSW would be nuts to trade him and not even end up with a definite starter. Without Granger in the deal....GSW isn't seeing that definite starter. Even these 3 assets, while good....don't include a definite starter for GSW. What were you thinking...GSW would trade their top scoring SG/PG for B Rush and a 2012 protected? Think that if it makes you feel good. That's to lowball to matter.
Despite a lot of dumb blogs and false rumors, the Warriors ain't inclined to deal Ellis at this point.

Top ten in the league? IDK, close, but....
Lebron James
Kobe Bryant
Dwayne Wade
Chris Paul
Chris Bosh
Pau Gasol
Dwight Howard
Brandon Roy
Steve Nash
Tim Duncan
Paul Pierce
Dirk Nowitzki
Kevin Durrant
You could probably make a case for Deron though.
Take Durant off the list and everyone else is either around 30 yr old or around $20 million (or soon will be). Try for one of them. Might work.

Could've done without the triple post. Some mods really don't like that stuff.

Re: For those that keep hoping to trade for Monta Ellis
I assume Hollinger was playing kissy kissy with Ellis back in 08 when Monta was scoring 20 ppg on over 50% shooting on a team that won 48 games in the west.
Now when Monta's efficiency drops when he's asked to carry a 26 win team, Hollinger hates him. This is why you don't take basketball advice from Hollinger.
Monta, like a lot of basketball players, will give you different results depending on what situation you put him in. On a different team he wouldn't have to score 30+ for his team to have any chance, and he wouldn't have to guard Kobe and Durant. Much like his fit on the '08 Warriors.
