We get the FB. Seattle gets Leon Washington.

I'm much more mixed on this pick. Saying goodbye to Leon to pick for a depth position we didn't really need.

Not sure this makes any sense unless Tony Richardson isn't playing full time next year because of his age.

And barring any trade, looks like our 2010 NFL Draft is done.

Hopefully a good punter isn't drafted.

Right, we still need a punter and kicker.

We only have Folk (who I'm not sure will do well) and Weatherford (who is coming off of heart surgery)

I don't know...

Not to mention we're going with Brodney Pool as our starting FS.

John Connor in 3 yrs will be the best blocking back in the NFL....seen him play for 4 yrs now.

I don't question the guy's talent, but we have bigger depth needs. It was possible that we could've picked him in the 7th.

I wouldn't mind making a push for Sharper.

I've warmed up to this pick a little. I've read a lot of scouting reports that had him as the #1 FB in the draft, and definitely the best blocking back. Has good hands too. Le'Ron McClain type maybe?

The only thing I dont like is we gave up our 7th when I thought we should've gotten a 7th, but that's trivial.

Alright, we need to draft a S, or sign one soon.

I'm very happy with Conner.

We're out of picks. Our sixth went to Carolina in the McKnight trade and our 7th went to Seattle for Conner. Off chance Myron Rolle doesn't get drafted and hopefully we invite him to camp or we get Sharper on a one-year.

You never know, Tanny could trade for a pick and draft Rolle (which I am desperately hoping for at this point).

All you need to do is read up on Connor and it's easy to like him. He was a walk on at Kentucky. He is a special teams player that will fit right in. Many called him the best run blocking full back in the SEC, which is college football.

Sure he will known as the guy we traded Leon for, but Connor is a good fit on this team.

I like the pick, after I did some research. Hopefully TRich can groom him to be something like McClain or even the old TRich. Still, I'll miss Leon.

Leon was bound to leave the minute Tomlinson agreed to play here.

If we weren't going to sign him, at least trade him for value. That was the plan all along, and I think Washington knew that.

I didn't think that Leon was gone as soon as LT signed. I mean RB is a position where people are more prone to injury, and with Leon just coming back from injury and LT's body being damaged, I thought it could've worked. Also, I kinda liked the 3-back system that we had, even last year with TJ, Leon and Greene.

But as soon as we drafted McKnight, it was obvious Leon was going, good luck to him though, one of my favorite Jet ever.

Even before that I had a lot of doubts he was going to stay.

Very happy with the Greene/LT/McKnight combo and the Rich/Conner combo at the backfield with Sanchez. We are built for the future very well right now at almost every position.

Connor was a good pickup. He was hands down the best FB in the draft and with Richardson probably playing his last season we will need a replacement sooner rather than later.

I think Rich can play a few more years, but it's a good learning experience for Conner.
