To get things started: David Price's fastball is 97 miles an hour of sex.

Which AL East team will have the privilege of being tied with the 1st place Blue Jays tonight?

Heh, why did Longoria alligator arm that throw to third? That was rather odd.

And I've come to the conclusion that the 'no facial hair' policy of the Yankees is cruel and unusual punishment, given that I have to see every inch of Nick Swisher's bloated, ugly mug. Cover that **** with a lumberjack beard, dammit.

Mariners outfielder Milton Bradley certainly isn't endearing himself to fans early this season.

With questions abound about his character following his departure from the Cubs, Bradley flashed his middle finger to fans in Texas during the fourth inning of Seattle's 6-2 loss on Friday night.

Fun fact:

Roy Halladay and Tim Lincecum have the same middle name. Leroy.

Bottom of the 18th here. Felipe Lopez just pitched a shutout inning.

Awesome video from Park.

Ubaldo Jimenez threw a no-hitter, the first of 2010 and of Rockies history.

Back to the ugly side of things, Will Carroll @ Baseball Prospectus is reporting that an announcement could come as soon as today regarding a PED suspension.

Apparently it's a pitcher; NBC sports is saying National League.

edit... SI is reporting Edinson Volquez http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2010/baseball/mlb/04/20/heyman.volquez/index.html?eref=BrkNews

edit #2... And just to re-enforce how pathetic MLB's drug policy is, apparently he'll begin serving the suspension tomorrow despite the fact that he is on the 60 day DL rehabbing from Tommy John surgery

Anyone see the A-Rod/Braden thing? Apparently A-Rod ran across the pitcher's mound during a pop-up, and Braden was not too happy about it. Here's the ESPN recap on the game, http://scores.espn.go.com/mlb/recap?gameId=300422111&teams=new-york-yankees-vs-oakland-athletic (they also reference the A-Rod yelling about the pop-up at the Jays game for further examples of his douchery). I didn't realize that a player walking across the mound was such a big deal.

Baltimore? That's like being hit in the head with a crowbar once a day.

Ryan Madson blew another save, 2nd blown out of 6.

He got mad, kicked a chair and is now headed for toe surgery.

The injuring yourself in anger over sucking never gets old. The QB that smashed his head against a concrete wall (Frerotte maybe?) was one of my favourites.

Brandon League gives up a solo shot and a grand slam in the bottom of the 8th to blow a 4 run lead for the M's.
