If I was memphis I would guarantee Jimmer Fredette

I would guarantee him either 25 or 29. Let Marcus Williams go. Jimmer is the perfect back up PG who has the abilities to one day be a starting PG in the NBA. He's an incredible shooter--he's got good size for the PG position and kind of like Steph Curry--he's deceptive in what he is able to do on the court.

Memphis has 3 picks two late--on of them on Fredette would be smart. I think he would come out with a guarantee.

Yeah - I don't know. Not really familiar with his game. Personally I'm thinking if the Grizz hold on to the Lakers pick they should use it on Vasquez from Ma. I'll keep him in mind in case the Grizz bring him in for a workout. Thanks for the heads up.

Yeah, no thanks to promising players. Last year we guaranteed DeMarre Carroll we'd pick him at #27, subsequently missing out on DeJuan Blair, Chase Budinger, etc. I don't see the logic behind teams putting restrictions on their own picks, because you never know what will happen on draft night.

I was just thinking about that a few days ago. Fredette would be a great fit for us. Has BBIQ, vision and is the best 3pt shooting in the NCAA, while being ok in the defensive end. if he fall to the bottom of the first round, I wound´t mind picking him.

Didn't he already say he was returning to BYU no matter what? Anyways, I like him due to his shooting. I wouldn't mind him with one of the late first rounders.

I'd rather have a George Hill, Thabo Sefalosha hounding type of guard as backup. But I don't know of any that could be on the board in the lower first round.

As far as Fredette goes, like grizzledgrizzfan I don't know enough about him to make an informed comment.

Fredette will make the biggest mistake of his career if he pass the chance of being a 1st round selection.

The only thing I would guarantee Fredette in the NBA is a Summer League invite.

Return to Memphis Grizzlies
