It's one of the best options Ron but I doubt they're going to take on Turkoglu to come off the bench for the next 3-4 years. They'd be paying $40+M extra for the right to pay Bosh $130M, lol

^ I get your point, but at the same time Hedo isn't a complete waste. Sure he's overpaid, but as a 6'10" playmaking SF he's still a very useful piece on a contending team, which Houston would be. The guy is at his best working with a burly PF/C who can clean up his misses on drives, work the PnR and cover up his defensive issues. I think he'd play great with Yao, and he'd help Brooks out with the burden of distributing the ball.

We all know Hedo really dogged it this year, but would Adelman allow? The guy holds his players accountable and they play hard for him. Not only that but he's not a moron like Triano, he actually defines his player's roles and let's them play to their strengths. Hedo is at fault for his lazy ways, but Triano simply didn't use the guy properly and that's a huge reason why the Hedo signing looks so terrible. I think Houston is a nice fit for Turk, even as a starter.

Adelman knows him and will probably get him going. I just don't think they'll take him, considering what they signed Ariza for and their payroll. He'd definitely give them an extra weapon no doubt, I just think he won't be included.

I think it would be

Hill
Battier
Jeffries
picks (NY)
maybe Budinger or Lowry

Bosh
maybe Jack, Belinelli

IMO Jose should go before Turk. I think Turk can still be a solid vet for this team. Jose needs a change of scenery

This is a solid deal for both teams.

S&T Bosh (max deal)
Jose

for

Shane Battier
Jordan Hill
Kyle Lowry
Knicks' 2011 1st round pick (top 1 protected)
Jefferies

Raps come out with a young PF in Hill, defensive PG, a 1st, a great vet wing player to mentor our young guys but maybe most valuable would now have 26.8 million in expiring contracts.
Battier 7.4, Jefferies 6.8, Evans 5, Marco 2.8, Banks 4.8

If Battier fits and gels and wants to stay thats great and you can resign him otherwise you have a major trading asset come deadline to acquire talent or use to unload Turk at that point if he's still not working out

would probably have to add talent (DD) or pick but deals like
Paul and Okafor
Ellis +
Iggy and Brand
Gay s&t and Jaric
Harris
Jefferson + Rubio

That Knicks 2011 top-1 protected pick is a huge asset. We could potentially end up with two high lotto picks. Imagine walking out of next years' draft with 2 of: Brandon Knight, Harrison Barnes, Perry Jones, Enes Kanter :o

pspot, I would do that altered deal with Jose as well. I just think Houston is the right choice for a Bosh S&T, with the assets they have it seems like the perfect match.

especially considering they are essentially adding Yao and Bosh to their current team (minus Battier and Lowry )

Alot of HOU fans along with myself would like to see Bosh in a Rockets uniform. But if we have to give picks, a prospect, Battier, and Lowry while taking on Turk's deal we dont want him. By taking Turk we'd have to kiss Brooks or Scola (or both)goodbye. Turk's overpaid, aging, and doesn't fill any of our needs. Turk= dealbreaker. The only possible way I think we'd take Turk is if we keep all of our picks. You guys need to understand Turk (and Jose) has negetive value and will greatly lessen return talent in a Bosh trade. We dont have any players+contracts similar to Jose and Turk to send back.

you can try out beasley at sf...he has a lot of talent but will never realize it in miami...for miami, we get bosh and free extra cap

you can start amir next to bargs up front and hope that beasley develops into a melo type at sf

Beasley is just not a Colangelo player. He strays away from anyone with remote character problems

However if Memphis was down for a 3 way with Thabeet it'd make a lot of sense

In that scenario, we're taking a LOT of salary off their hands in Deng/Kirk, so I'd want Asik or their 1st coming back as well. If I'm not mistaken, that Bobcats pick is in 2012? And just out of curiosity, how did we get Henry and Whiteside?

fixed :) yea i think it's decent, again personally I'd rather have Asik coming back (maybe instead of Gibson?) because I want us to find a legit longterm solution at C. I'm hoping at least one of Asik or Whiteside/Orton pan out. I'm pretty sure old rem and the Warriors reject this though.

The Bulls might do that trade. I don't know why the Warriors would, though, they get totally screwed with that deal. Why would they want Hedo over Maggette? Maggette scores more, is paid less, and has a shorter contract. That's all around fail for them.

Maybe Warriors should get Asik ^^ gives them more incentive

they can use a center prospect and Hedo can show him the ropes lol

Posted this in T&T

Miami trades:
Michael Beasley
Daequon Cook
James Jones
Mario Chalmers

Miami gets:
Chris Bosh 126 mil S&T

Toronto trades:
Chris Bosh 126 mil S&T

Toronto gets:
#12 pick
Toronto future 1st
James Jones

Memphis trades:
#12 pick

Memphis gets:
Michael Beasley
Daequon Cook
Mario Chalmers

Why for Miami? Get Bosh, free up 9 mil in capspace. Clean slate after Wade and Bosh to fill the rest of the roster to win now

Why for Toronto? Mia offers Beasley and our 1st presuming we take Jones/Cook. We don't want Beasley so we swap him for the #12 pick and we let Mem have Cook to make our TPE bigger (and Cook is redundant on our team because we have Bellinelli). Raptors rebuild with #12 and #13 picks to go along with Bargnani/Derozan/Amir/Weems

Why for Memphis?
#12 for Beas is good value. He can get 30mpg off the bench at SF and PF, allowing them to keep the Conley/Mayo/Gay/Randolph/Gasol starting lineup. They also get a backup SG and a young PG who looked good in his rookie season.

I had my eyes on a Beasley/Thabeet 3 way for a while but I think Beasley's value is too low right now... it'd work GREAT with the #12 pick though.
