I hope I get credit as the last poster of OT 1. Mods don't count.

Looks like Tupik holds that distinction now

Who will be voted off this week in Survivor? I think its Jerri, with the way she's been edited.

I don't buy into the two tribes anymore

I totally see the Villians screwing it up and turning on themselves even though they are in a position of power.

They can't help it.

Rupert's been getting too strong of a "right guy" edit to be voted out now. I think Rupert makes the final 5.

He isn't a threat in challenges anyway...he's not good at puzzles and has a broken toe, and provides for the camp.

With the preview, its either Sandra (swing vote getting axed similar to Christy in Amazon and Tom in All-Stars), Jerri (everyone comes to a consensus) or Parv (Sandra turns). Russell's edit is also too strong to be voted out right now so I'm guessing either he or Colby wins immunity.

Uh, edit?

I don't see why Jerri should be in danger. She was chosen last episode similar way Edgardo was in Fiji.

Rupert can be annoying all around camp, he was the most suspicious towards Russell - i.e. such players tend to be voted first by Russell, who knows. Amanda may be another option as she is pretty good in challenges and any ties with Parvati could be lost by how last tribal council went and she is a type capable of changing the game. Much can be influnced by who will win the immunity and if another idol would be found, which we can only guess now.

Speaking of idol's.............

Good to see American Idol FINALLY had a good night. What a toilet bowl of a season this one has been.

Not that I really like her or her music, but this season usually 95% of the performers have sucked and only 1 or 2 have been ok. At least last night they all sounded pretty good.

It made for a nice change.

Damn, **** school, I got a philosophy dissertation for after these vacation (this being the last week), and it's pissing me off. This, plus a maths homework, an English one, a Biology test, and a History in English oral (which counts for the Bac, which is basically the Bigkaboomba test at the end of French High Schools. Kind of like the SAT).
Of course I'm regretting to have partied that much right now, but oh well...

I'm off to a bit of NBA 2k10 before I go to one last party, and then heading to London tomorrow morning.

By edit I mean how the producers have edited the contestant throughout the season, by giving more airtime or hiding them, by making them appear good or evil, and by choosing what confessionals to air. There's been a trend ever since season 2 with edits and predicting what will happen next.

Yeah, I'm that hardcore Survivor fan.

Remember Ozzy in Micronesia? If you go back and watch that season, you'll notice that he was edited all season long to be blindsided by the girls in that episode, and many forum people saw it coming.

it makes for good tv... but i do wish that sometime after the votes they would go back and show the discussions leading up to the votes (if it was left out of the broadcast prior to the vote).

Mrs Slam just got an LG Eve. Her work is paying for it.

Is that good? What do I need to know about this new world of apps and shenanigans? What is something we must do or download or set up now she has this swanky phone?

So it's an Android phone with an unlimited data plan? I mean mostly it'll act like a regular phone, you don't have to set anything up, the question is what kinds of apps you're interested in. A lot of the ones on iphones are now also on Android ones as well, here are some of my favorites:
ShopSavvy - This lets your phone's camera scan barcodes so you can do comparison shopping at nearby stores and online.
Google Goggles - This is pretty experimental, but basically it lets you take pictures of, say, a painting, and recognize it and tell you information about it and google it for you.
Pandora - It's Pandora, obviously.
Yelp is nice, you can search for nearby restaurants and stuff.

Oh, and also you should get her a dashboard/windshield stand for her phone to act as a GPS, save yourself some money.
