Halladay/Phillies series in June moving?

Post#1 » by LittleOzzy » Sun Apr 25, 2010 9:35 pm

What’s the talk about the Jays moving Roy Halladay’s return to the Rogers Centre on June 25-27 to Philadelphia to avoid the G-20 summit and its protesters?

There is no way that series will take place. They have more security in place then the Vancouver Olympics (no joke, bigger budget) and people who live in the area around the rogers centre need to do background checks just to be able to enter their building durring the summit and they plan on having 10 foot high barricades around Bay street, coupled with the already increasing terrorist threats I really don't see them letting 10-20,000 strangers come strolling in the area.

I wonder if it will be postponed or moved.

From what I heard the Rogers Centre is going to be outside of the fence. Original plan was it would be inside, so who knows if they'll go back to this?

I know what it is, I just didn't know it would essentially lead to shutting down the whole city.
