He definitely said "He grabbed his neck" and made a neck grabbing motion on himself.

I didn't check that but I just reviewed it and I DID see Camby go across Hill's neck with his arm.

So obviously he fouled Hill. The question is, why was Crawford so adamant that Nash go to the line, he even said his name so it can't be a confusion of the #s.
Seriously, fire this clown.

I love how Stern talks about the integrity of the game whenever a coach/player criticizes a ref, but this jackass is still reffing playoff games much less any game.

At first I thought it could be a make-up call, but then i saw Joey Crawford. It all makes sense.

The NBA deserves all the conspiracy theories surrounding its officiating when calls like this happen.

The NBA is the worst officiated league in pro sports. Refs like Joey Crawford have agendas for themselves.

And why didn't the other officials do something about this? They should have spoken to Crawford and gotten the call straightened out.

B-b-b-but it's so hard to officiate!!!

Seriously guys, calls like this do not influence games. Refs never have a hand in the final outcome of games, that's all on the players. Hell, it wasn't even a bad call, you guys are just so biased. Camby shouldn't have been there doing what he did. These refs have a tough job. David Stern is a fair and honest man. Stop blaming the refs. If you don't like it, don't watch. OP should be fined 35k for posting this. Basketball is easily the second most difficult sport to officiate behind hockey, baseball, soccer, football and bowling. you guys ought to be ashamed, you obviously aren't real fans

on a rather objective note: maybe he was the lead official and I assume it's hard to overrule the lead official.

Awful.

Crawford should be suspended for the remainder of the playoffs for this error.

He must be held accountable.

on a similarly objective note, if a lead official isn't completely open to being overruled (read "straightened out") by his fellow officials, then that person should not be allowed to be a lead official.

the lead official's primary responsibility is to make sure that the right call is made, not that his own call stands.

This is Joey "TNT The closer" Crawford. Nothing surprise me with this ref.

somebody should update crawford's wikipedia page.

make sure to note that camby was 20 feet from nash and that crawford yelled nash's name, telling nash to shoot free throws even though nash didn't think he should.

also note that camby didn't really foul grant hill, either: it was incidental contact where neither player gained an advantage. it would have been a terrible call even if hill had shot the free throws.

Joey Crawford should be fired. All refs have too much power and NEVER get reprimanded.

Nash definitely didn't deserve those two free-throws, much like his MVP's.. Racisim at it's finest.

He must have taken the over
First the federal government borrowed money; then gave the money to Bank of America; then I borrowed some of that money from Bank of America and gave it to the federal government; then the federal government gave the money back to Bank of America.
