^^ Wish we still had Jamario, guy was full of energy, and anytime Wade set up an alleyoop for him against the hawks series, it would quiet the crowd. We need a big lead early, to take the crowd out of it.

Biggest reason we lost game 1 was turnovers. Their defense really isn't spectacular like it once was, we just need that mental focus(spoelstra talk i know lol)

Glad Wade is in 2006 mode, If we win this game, it would show that this team has alot of heart.

Beasley needs to be more aggresive, get KG/Perkins in foul trouble, it would also be nice for Haslem to get get those guys for the charges, like we know hes good for, and hit open shots.

If Jermaine shoots over 30%, Im telling you guys, we should win

I wouldn't say Wade's in 2006 mode just yet, he STILL seems hesitant to use the midrange game (even though its been working when he has used it).

That was one thing I didn't like about game 1 and game 3, late game situations when we couldn't score and the Celtics refused to allow penetration. Instead of getting himself a good midrange shot, which Wade could do at anytime, he just didn't shoot in game 1, and took that bad 3 in game 3.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, JO is the reason why we lose this series... and if we win, It's still his fault!!!!

Man is anyone reading these Celtics articles from the last few days?

It sounds like they're going to be crazy prepared.

Examples?

And it really doesn't worry me, I think we've already seen the best of Boston in games 3 and 4. They played as a well-oiled machine in both games, and we were right there with them in both.

Games 1 and 2 they weren't quite there yet, but we fell apart as a team.

But yeah, not scared of Boston at all. I have no doubt we can play with them, and if JO can just stick an open jumper for a change, we can definitely take this series.

I would expect any playoff team to be prepared. At this point, it's about overachieving with our inferior collective talent by playing with more intensity and focus. If Jermaine O'Neal doesn't want to be completely ridiculed for the rest of his days, he REALLY needs to have a good game today.

Riley-prepared teams still got steamrolled, so I could give a crap if the Celtics or their local newspapers say they're the most prepared team in NBA history. **** happens.

I fully expect Wade to see a box and one defense tonight. All night. There are going to DARE everybody else to shoot.

If J.O starts, I have a hard time seeing us have a shot.
Last game Boston played horrid to their standards, for some big stretches, and anytime they wanted they easily got back in the game, even after Wade heroics they still had a shot.
The thing that has bugged me, Spo really hasn't done any real adjustments.
How do we defend Rondo better.
You could probably put even Chalmers as a starter if you don't want to burn Wade out dribbling the ball.
Let Chalmers get Ray Allen, Wade get Rondo.
Or this lineup too, Wade as P.G but he defends Ray Allen, then have Dorell Wright defending Rondo.
Then have Q Pierce
Or Wade on Rondo, D Wright on Allen, Q on Pierce.
Haslem on Kevin Garnett, and Joel and Perkings.
This would be our best defensive lineup, I just think tonight is going to be ultra physical, I just don't see our starting lineup being able to bang it out vs. Boston.
Hope am wrong, but Boston is going to put a great effort, this team can destroy you,, when they are all in.

The thing is, J.O's defense has gotten worst too, is not just his offense, but his defense looks passionless.
Hopefully the fact everyone seems to claim this a one man team, some guys take pride, and just play for their self dignity.

So we didn't play like crap for the whole series so far? We've been committing the stupidest turnovers and we're a usually an efficient team on offense, at least turnover-wise. These turnovers have led to many easy baskets in transition which is why the Celtics scored so many points on us.
Plus aside of Wade, nobody has consistenly played well. Q was probably the most consistent player over the series aside of Dwyane and even Richardson has been incosistent. So I expect a lot of players to step their games up tonight. I know we had solid contributions off the bench by Chalmers, Haslem, Joel and Dorell on Sun. but statiscally, all of them can step their game up except for Chalmers probably who has delivered solid bench numbers.

Overall I expect guys like Dorell, Q, UD, Rio and Beasley to chip in between 10 and 15 points apiece. Who knows, probably Beasley will take advantage of the many open looks he'll get tonight and even explode for 25 pts or heck even 30 pts. You never know. But I believe in this team and I believe that we can make it a series tonight. Nothing is impossible.

Just another day of broadcasters talking about how this could be Dwyane's final game as a Heat.

Since it's on NBA TV I'll have to listen to the local broadcasters which means I'll have to listen to Tommy Heinsohn.

I imagine the Heat game is on local Miami AM radio. Put that one, turn down the TV volume. ;)

why do miami fans want the heat to win anyways?!?! so both teams can head back down to south beach and play infront of a half empty arena........?
c's close this thing out tonight.
Before you criticize someone, walk a mile in their
shoes. That way, you'll be a mile from them, and
you'll have their shoes.

I figure its best that things go similar to last game. I told a Boston fan to **** off in the last game thread so...

**** off. And Boston sucks.

Why do people keep saying it was half empty??? I was there and the place was packed, the lower bowl was pretty empty right when the game started but when I looked in the second Q the place was nearly fully packed. Also I noticed plenty of people running to bayside like 10 minutes before tipoff I imagined they went to get a few drinks since you can get 3for10 or 3for9 beers. I was coming from there since I always go there have about 6 and then walk in and get 1-2 more inside, paying 8 bucks for a regular beer or 12 for the big heiny cans is not worth it.

Return to Miami Heat
