He still probably has a better CS% than John Buck, or as I've started referring to him, the useless one.

While looking up the CS stat, I found out Molina leads the majors with 7 of them (Zaun has 4, Buck...2).

I guess that isn't too surprising considering that game in Tampa.

Yeah, Fatty Jr. is having a hell of a start throwing runners out...it's not just that he's 7 for 8, it's that he's 7 for 8 against these attempted thieves:

Izturis, Podsednik, Kendall, Crawford, Upton, Sean Rodriguez, Crawford again, with Howie Kendrick the only success thus far. The failures are 21-3 in attempts against other catchers, 22-4 if you include Kendrick.

I'm sort of getting the feeling that John Buck is a little "slow", if you catch my drift.

It was shoulder muscle spasms due to a collision at the plate. Didn't realize Zaun still managed a career high 4 hits and 5 RBIs on the day. Always liked him as a Jay, especially that grand slam.

Loved the Bronx cheer, and then the commentator saying maybe Zaun was doing it on purpose.

Buck really isn't bringing anything special to the plate at this point in time, so I think it would be good to get Fatty Jr in there for more games. Even if there is no offensive upgrade, at least he can be reliable for defense purposes.

Then again it probably depends on who the pitchers feel more comfortable with.

The sad part is Molina would probably be on offensive upgrade as well. Buck is useless, the only reason he has been in the league this long is because he was playing in KC. At this point I would rather call up Ruiz and platoon him with Molina.
