OK, next step . . . . how do we determine matchups?

FYI for my opponent. I will not be around till Sunday to post my writeup or rebuttal (commish said they will not be due till Sunday night). But I did post a tentative rotation on my roster page so you are not delayed

Round robin format: You will submit two writeups, one for each of your first round opponents. Whoever wins two matchups from that group will advance. If nobody wins two in a given matchup, margin of victory will be determined by looking at the votes.

Participants are encouraged to vote on all matchups not in their group of 3. Outside input by invitation only. All voters expected to be objective and thorough.

The groups:

Bracket 1:

Warspite
poopdamoop
nba_addict

Snakebites
SabasRevenge!
bryant08

Bracket 2:

penbeast0
BlackIce
TMACFORMVP

Been awhile since I played in one of these. Forgotten how hard the initial writeup is to write...and how much fun the rebuttals are. :)

Man, I'm having the busiest finals week I've experienced by far. I've had a vocalist cancel on me for a project due Tuesday, and in all my scrambling I only managed to put up a paragraph against my opponents.

^My intention is to allow a couple days for rebuttals to trickle out after the deadline. It wouldn't feel like a true competition without at least some banter back and fourth. :)

You can use that time to get more points in as well. Not sure if that helps, but its there.

^You may vote on any matchup that is not within your group (for obvious reasons voting on that matchup can't be allowed).

All voters are encouraged to vote. I had originally intended to invite certain outsiders to vote, but that never really materialized.

An explanation of at least a few sentences on each is mandated.

^Voting was allowed to begin at midnight last night.

People are still allowed to post rebuttals/enhance their writeups etc, but voting can begin with the information we have now. I feel everyone has had what should have been be amble time.

Yeah, I definitely don't need to repeat that line again. But I think we know which one applies here.

btw, just for fun I ran these 12 teams through the Whatifsports simulation engine for a 10 team exhibition season. Didn't show much so probably not worth posting here; everyone finished within a game of .500 or so except our host, Snakebite, who finished 8-2 (and Sambone who finished 3-7) . . . of course that's the David Robinson MVP team and it uses regular season numbers.
