Hmm Interesting matchup between Jones/Matyushenko. It seems like a step down in competition, and considering Jones absolutely handled Hamill, I can't see this being any different. I guess they're really taking their time with Bones and are hoping he keeps dominating on free TV to create some buzz with the casual fans. I mean, he's only 22 so no point in rushing the guy and having him go down the Brandon Vera route.

Yeah I agree with you about the UFC trying to create buzz by showcasing Jones more. He is so damn talented that he will be a future champion in time. Matyushenko is obviously not the top of the LHW division, but he's still no bum. Still, Jones via easiness.

Gomi/Joe Daddy could either be FOTN or a absolute LNP 'a' thon. I'd like to see Gomi pull this one out, but I see Stevenson hold him down for 15 minutes and getting the UD.

Joe's really proud of his boxing and cannot risk a boring fight or a loss. He is on the verge of being a high-profile cut from the roster. I think he stands-up with Gomi. Gomi's a wrestler with good TD defense, Joe chasing him around with shots all night would not be effective. Meanwhile, Gomi's boxing defense is non-existent and Joe is very technical.
Hi love, bye love, I will miss my love.

Certainly looks like the UFC is biding their time with Jones, and letting him eat up as much experience as possible, which is good, at 22 he doesnt need to be thrown to the top just yet, he'll have plenty of time to do that.

Yeah, no need to rush Jones. The guy will almost certainly have his first title shot before he turns 25 even.

Stevenson vs Gomi is an interesting fight, its an absolute must win for both to stay relevant, a loss for Stevenson and he has to be looking down the barrell of being cut, a loss for Gomi, and he'll be on that border of "well he's not really relevant is there any point in keeping him around".

That makes it interesting, because both should be going after it (we'll probably end up seeing a really tentative bout).
