Deadline Moves you wish you made?

Post#1 » by Foshan » Wed Apr 21, 2010 11:04 am

I know the Thunder have a very bright future ahead of them, lots of great young talent that is going to grow well together. I also realize this is almost all of their first go in the playoffs.

Having now played LAL a couple times, seeing some weaknesses exposed, in hindsight are there any moves you wish the FO had made at the deadline?

I'm not talking "ZOMG trade all the young talent for Vets" or things to consolidating 'compete now' type moves. Things like adding a vet big (Camby/Dally type), maybe gone after something besides Maynor with the cap space?

Just curious from an outside-looking in perspective.

The Blazers traded Travis Outlaw. That is alot for Camby who is 35. I dont even know who Dally is. So i would not have wanted him as well. I would have liked to have added a Brandon Haywood, because Washington basically didnt get much back for him. But, he was also in a package deal.

A David Lee but, the Knicks would not have moved him.

So no! I am happy with the Team as it is. But, this off season is going to be the time to add a big man.

You guys are in desperate need of a big man. Should've picked up Camby at the deadline.

What do you think about Kaman? What do you have to offer?

Kaman's ludicrously overrated IMO and will cost a lot more than he's worth.

But you have to give to get... Camby would have been a nice pickup, but who would they have to have given up to get him? Couldn't have been any of the expirings, since Camby's contract is up at the end of the year as well.....

Cool thanks for the feed back. If Philly really blows things up this summer, I still think a deal sending Dalembert to OKC would be a great fit for both teams.

Apparently, Dalembert is often late to practice and doesnt have a great work ethic. Before these playoffs I would have been happy with Jermaine O'Neal but he played so god-awful in the Miami-Boston series I wouldnt want him for free
