Teams at the bottom of the lotto heap (like us), especially have to be willing to take a risk here and there, so I think you and I are not as risk averse as a scout with his reputation on the line, or most NBA GMs. My thinking is that playoff teams looking for a player to step and contribute, and that avoid player's with character flaws, and/or who look for players who have been taught and conditioned at winning programs, very well might feel Singler is the safer prospect.
Ah yes, but does safer necessarily mean better?
Besides, that's Givony's opinion. The mock is where he puts in what the team scouts think and I think they had Singler rated right as a late 1st round pick. I guess it comes down to what you consider a prospect though. Personally, it's a combination of current skills and potential to improve later. But maybe others see it differently.
