Upgrading the five would be very hard to do.

But this quote from above may define how Presti will work around that

“First and foremost, it’s about basketball players,” Presti said, who warns that rebuilding this team will be a process, not a quick fix. “In the NBA today, there’s no reason to pigeonhole players into a system. The game is about creativity and guys playing together.”
Seattle Times “Great things come in versatile Sonics” 6/30/2007

They are countering the Laker's stymy of the half court offense by getting out in transition and they can continue to do that as long as they can all get to the boards, rebound and still run. A team of versatile " basketball players " can do that.

Lakers just whooped us by ignoring the offensive boards and preventing us from getting back in transition.. you need to have half court offense in the playoffs which means we need more threats on the court. And better passers.

I love the defensive turnaround but we need a shot in the arm offensively.

Guy here on local radio, says Bosh has put out a short list ......... and OKC is #1, Dallas #2 .

I can't find it on the net.

Don't have a lot of time.

Yeah, that's not a good way to negotiate .

That's why I asked, it seems bogus to me.

Id rather have a great defense and average offense, than great offense and average defense. I think this off-seaosn we will work on offense more and you will see our offense become more efficient. Keep in mind slick Russ is going to get better at running the team. MUCH MUCH better.
