While I dont' think LSU is that good(mainly because I think Les Miles is a pretty terrible gameday coach), I still think they will likely beat the Buckeyes but not by the score most people is projecting. I'm expecting a 21-14, 17-10 type of game. As I say that, there is a ton of similarities between last years Florida Gators team and this years LSU team.

-Stud defenses-especially in the front 7, but with a Thorpe finalist at safety-Reggie Nelson(UF), Craig Steltz(LSU)
-Lots of close games-Florida barely survived a couple of close games last year and so did LSU this year.
-Questionable offenses with 2 QB systems. While Leak got more hype then Flynn is getting as being a legit QB, both have had question marks of whether or not they can win a game, not just not lose a game. Tebow/Perilloux are used similarly, but of course RP has had way more experience starting a game.
-"Backing their way into the championship"
-#2 team in the country

While I still like LSU mainly because of their defense and the fact that it's essentially a home game, I'm still not sure if Les Miles can come anywhere close to making a gameplan good enough to beat Tressel.

The one thing I'm getting real tired of hearing is about how OSU lost to Florida last year. Tell me why that's relevant. IIRC those same Gators basically blanked LSU, save a 1Q fumble at their own 25 that LSU converted and a garbage-time FG. I guess that LSU team must have really sucked too, and surely that didn't carry over like it did in CBus

This Buckeyes team has the fastest defense in the country. The slowest starter in the back 7 is Laurinaitis, who runs in the upper 4.5s but is the best ILB in CFB. No starter in the secondary runs slower than 4.42, and they have two reserve CBs who get PT who run in the 4.3s. So don't come to me with this ignorant argument about how it's going to be speed that wins the game for LSU. That's not giving credit to LSU for what they do well either; they're not a speed-based team but rather an execution/deception type of offense.

If you think LSU is going to win, that's fine (I lean towards them myself). But find different arguments than team speed and last year, because those are the arguments of the lazy and uneducated fan (or Colin Cowherd). Be smarter than the sheeple!

LSU vs. Ohio State: Will Ohio State get embarrassed again in the BCS title game? No way. Ohio State doesn't get embarrassed. This is the school that gave us Art Schlichter and Maurice Clarett, after all.

Every historical trend and stat against us when playing versus SEC teams. dont mind the underdog tag and dont care about the disrespect-its all good. this the year of underdogs and one thing you can bank on is that this is going to be hard fought close game.

Man, I just watched the OSU motivational video that SportsWorld posted and it makes me want to strap on a helmet and beat the crap out of the entire SEC. Seriously, that is some disrespectful garbage. I hope OSU just goes in and destroys the entire overrated conference. Michigan already started, it's time for us Buckeyes to finish it up!

All season long we've had to put up with the stupidity of SEC fans telling us we're not a real conference, and the so called experts backing them up like mindless morons. Well, this is our time to shut them the hell up.

GO BUCKS!!!

I love all the hate for the Buckeyes--reminds me a heck of a lot of 2002 when Miami was supposed to just walk all over an OSU team that played a crappy schedule, had no QB, and couldn't allegedly handle all the speed and talent of the Hurricanes.

I've got news for y'all doubters:
This OSU team is probably a little better defensively than that team. The passing game is much better. Beanie Wells makes Clarett look like a stiff. The only place where the Buckeyes are weaker is at K, and Praetorius is still better than LSU's kicker.
This LSU team isn't anything close to as good as that Miami team was, or as what Florida was last year.

The SEC is indeed a superior conference, but LSU lost twice in conference to vastly inferior teams to Ohio State. USC blew away Illinois (who beat OSU), you say? How did Arkansas fare in their bowl against Mizzou? What about Kentucky, which nearly lost to just half of the worst Florida State team of the last 20 years? Neither of those two teams can touch the Buckeyes in overall talent, certainly not on defense, yet LSU somehow lost to both of them.

So if/when the Buckeyes win tonight, I can predict the talk tomorrow:
Georgia/USC/Missouri/Kansas are all better than Ohio State but are being wrongly denied a chance to prove it. BS!! Take care of business in their own conferences (none lost any non-conference games, most against teams worse than Kent State) and they would have been playing Monday night instead of watching and wondering. That's what the regular season is all about. You want to play for a national title--don't lose at home to Stanford, or South Carolina, or lose twice to Oklahoma (side tangent: how come people aren't all over the Sooners for getting annihilated every time they play in a BCS game?)!

I wish Georgia got to play a schedule as easy as Ohio State's. I think OSU has a good chance tonight, but know that you aren't playing the best of the SEC. If LSU wins tonight, Big Ten fans should just not talk for a few months.

I'm not going to lie. I'm more than a little nervous about tonight's game. Don't want to go overboard but this feels bigger than your normal Championship game.

Ohio State has a lot on the line. Let's go Bucks.

We certainly do have the advantage on coaching and o-line and beanie is looking great. Crowd advantage makes me nervous a bit but we havent lost an away game for a while. Its going to be very tough game but as long as Boeckman doesnt lose the game for us, we have pretty good chance.

GO BUCKS!!!

And if Ohio State wins tonight I want to all the media to shut up about the SEC being so dominant and the Big Ten being so weak. Michigan beat a good Florida team and noone gave Michigan a chance.
