Game 6 - Mavs at Spurs - SA leads 3-2

Post#1 » by Donald Kaufman » Thu Apr 29, 2010 2:13 am

Should be a great game. Hopefully Joey Crawford is not working this one.

Two things of note: TD has sucked big time the past two games. I hope this was a blip and not the start of a trend. Manu hasn't been Manu since wearing his face accessory. This needs to change.

I don't want this thing to go back to Dallas. I'm sure the players feel the same way.

Let's finish this thing off!!

Same things to watch as game 1 i guess.

Giving up offensive rebounds.
Turnovers.

Big 3 has to show up and we need a 4th guy to contribute whether it's Hill, Jefferson, Blair, or Dice. I don't think a showing by only the big 3 can get us the win. Someone has to step up.

I said it in another thread and I'll repeat it here - my X factor is Tim Duncan, if he attacks the basket, scores like he is used to and puts Dallas' bigs in foul trouble, we will be in a good position to win it. I feel they have no idea how to stop Tony and Manu and the two will contribute but we need another player to get us over the hump. I really hoped we will play better with the start of the playoffs after the great ending of the regular season, we went from hoping to just get one playoff win earlier in the season to leading 3-1 without home-court advantage and now having the opportunity to close it at home so, please, don't let this go back to Dallas. Win it tonight! GO SPURS GO!

I have no idea what Spurs team is going to show up: Game 2 Spurs or the Game 5 version. Ditto for the Mavs. They need contributions from someone other than Dirk.

If we lose this one, we're done. We're not winning a Game 7 in Dallas. That much is certain.

I'm gonna make a prediction. Jefferson had his performance. George Hill did too. Even Blair and Dice did. It's Bonner's time. Bonner's gonna go crazy shooting the 3 in game 6. Let's go Bonner!!!

Or Blair with a 20-20 game. That'd be nice.

Red Rocket with 5 boards already! Dirk with 3 fouls. Najera is a douche.

Dirk with his 4th after the clothesline on Hill. Butler with the shove on Hill after the dunk. Cuban looking stressed. I like it.

Did you notice what Cuban said?
I think he just said 'Bad Call' it was the right call, however.
I'm sensing a bit of a blow out right now, Spurs playing with a sense of urgency.

Wonder if they'll start Dirk in the 2nd half.

I wouldn't of. But I think it was the right decision.
What the hell happened to that 22 point lead?
It's now a 5 point margin.

GO SPURS GO! So glad we sent those Mavs home! Now rest before Round 2 begins! It was an ugly win after that fantastic start but it still counts, and it hurts more for Cuban and his bunch!

Because most Spurs fans are based on other forums and because they play a so called 'boring' style of basketball I guess we don't get as many fans on the bandwagon as we should!

I must say that I really adore Dirk. He's just an awesome awesome player. Him and Kobe, they're 2 guys that I really respect and simply adore. In some ways, I feel sad for Dirk. He's a great great player. This was a fun series. Now let's go to Phoenix!!! Hoping for Portland cause I think they're a weaker team but I bet my money on Phoenix winning their series.

Yeah, he really is a brilliant player. He can hit from just about anywhere on the floor, from any angle. He impressed the hell out of me in this series. His 3rd quarter was amazing today. Those that pin Dallas' playoff failures on him clearly aren't paying attention.

I'm glad we didn't have to go back to Dallas for a G7. We wouldn't have got thru that one.
