What the hell
I sure hope Pryor stays out of the Big Ten but I see him going to either Ohio State or Michigan. It would be a nice start at Michigan if Rich Rodriguez grabs Pryor.

One word: Cutcliffe. Seems like Pryor has the ears of coaches that he loves, and vice versa.

Pryor looks like a freaking RB in QB form, and a huge RB at that. Way to be bigger than your entire line.

Terrelle Pryor is expected to announce his intent to go to Michigan once Ryan Mallett's transfer papers have been fired.

How do you guys rate Georgia's recruiting class?!?

They got good grades by Rivals and so on, but I would be interested what you guys think?!?

Not so smart to ask that question. Rivals knows a ton more than anyone here. I mean other than not rating Jonathan Baldwin the #2 overall prospect behind Pryor they actually know what they are talking about. The most people here have likely have seen are highlight tapes.

21st in the nation on Rivals.com. Not bad for a team that finished last in the Pac-10 last season.

Happy with this years Illinois class. Ron Zook is a God.

Georgia got a commit from Harmon and had the #1 class on Rivals...for 10 minutes. Then Walker committed to ND and they regained it.

Georgia (#2) and Alabama (#3) seem to have full classes and ND can still add a few more, so they'll be able to hold them off. Two schools that could still push into the Top 3 with a strong last month are OSU and USC.

PNF, have you heard anything about the recruits Oregon is pulling in?

I know Joe Don Duncan and Kenyon Barner...they're going to be STUDS.

Some stuff. Real light class for Bellotti this year.

His best recruit (so people say) is Darron Thomas, a Texas high school product who'll either play QB or WR. His raw numbers and size indicate that he's the future Dennis Dixon...unless Terrelle Pryor declares, which Bellotti did not count on (wisely).

He's also really tapping into the JuCo ranks for this class. Justin Thompson is a 4-star DT who's supposed to be a beast, and he recently signed a running back named LaGarrette Blount who I know very little about. RB depth is going to be insane for Oregon once again.

Outside of that, I don't know a hell of a lot...Kiko Alonso and DeWitt Stuckey are supposed to be excellent LBs, and Nick Cody is one of the best players in the state of Washington. He also got a WR from Southlake Carroll (TX) High named Blake Cantu who I'm interested in.

This is a prototypical Bellotti class: he'll get the 4th or 5th best players on stacked teams, some smaller-pond studs, a couple of JuCo guys, some good local flavor (only two guys combined from Oregon and Washington, but it's usually far more), and versatile fillers. He has a good eye for talent.

seeing how he plays on SL Carroll you'll most likely have a white WR.

the only black guy i know on southlake is tre' newton, he's the son of former cowboys great nate newtons son (suprisingly he's a RB)

they werent as good as they were last year and they got upset in the playoffs but he most likely has good hands and runs good routes

of course this is judging from every WR ive seen the past 4 years from southlake carroll

GYBE,
I am a huge ND fan too. Has there been any word of recruits that might sign in the near future? I know there were a few kids that have made verbals to some schools that the internet said may back out and pick Notre Dame. and new rumors or real news?
And do you know if Weis has been out tring to pick up some 4 or 5 star kids? before its all said and done?

First off, to everyone, Rivals has updated their Top 100 with their final rankings before signing day.

Tyrus, Charlie and his staff are still working hard. I know today he and Corwin Brown were in Michigan at the high school of Mike Martin, a defensive lineman committed to Michigan. I'm hearing that he feels a little put off that we clearly chose Omar Hunter ahead of him early on, but we still might get him to change his mind.

A few other guys that are still possibilities:

- Will Compton, LB/FB, currently committed to Nebraksa. Has been a lifelong ND fan and was desperately hoping for an offer, which came last week. Very good shot we pick him up.

- Cyrus Gray, RB. Texas kid that may be a silent commit to A&M, don't like our chances.

- Lewis Kapron-Moore, DE. A&M commit who's entertaining the idea of ND, but will probably stick with the Aggies.

- Datone Jones, DE. Straight outta Compton, UCLA recruit. Jones looked like a good possibility when DeWayne Walker's future was in doubt, but now that he's staying with UCLA we probably won't get him.

- Kenneth Page, OL. South Carolina kid, likely to stay home at Clemson but still has us high on his list.

All these kids are 4 star players as far as I know. I think we'll probably get Compton, and some other lineman to fill out the class. Hopefully one of Jones or Martin, but Weis may take a more raw guy if he needs to just to build some depth at the position. We can take up to 27, but that would limit our scholarships/5th year possibilities down the road.

Datone Jones visited UO over the weekend. If he's staying at UCLA, that kinda sucks.

That guy LaGarrette Blount that Oregon signed is apparently a LenDale White clone. I'm licking my chops already.

Bellotti's gotten a couple recent commits from some lower-level prospects, so it looks like he's taking his time fleshing out a recruiting class. And he's still got a shot at Pryor.

Does anyone here know anything about LaMichael James and Chris Harper?

Re: Jones, if it was confusing I tried to say Walker was staying at UCLA. This doesn't mean Jones is off-limits, but it increases the chances he stays in Westwood since Walker does most of their recruiting. If DeWayne had left he'd definitely commit somewhere else.
