Interesting trade offer

Post#1 » by geeman » Fri Apr 30, 2010 6:03 pm

On one of the board " hawks firesale" this was offered! I kind of like it and I think it would work cap wise, because OKC is under the cap

Change that to " James Harden and Serge Ibaka and it's a done deal" .

Harden and Ibaka would be great for Johnson. Sign me up.

That thread showed me that several of our players are loved around the league:
Joe, Josh, Al (especially), even some Marvin interest, Teague, and Jamal

The other ideas that I liked was the thought of getting Darren Collison or Roddy Beaubouis in some form of deal.

An intriguing idea was Hedo for Marvin. Not saying I'd do it because of the contract, but Hedo's playmaking in the 4th would be welcome.

Turkoglu tries to control the ball in the 4th. How in the world would that work here?

Consider how poorly it worked this year with a good PG in TOR.
My mother told me, she said, "Elwood, to make it in this world you either have to be oh, so clever or oh, so pleasant." Well, for years I was clever; I recommend pleasant.

In Orlando he managed to get the ball to the right player at the right time in the 4th. He's not a shot maker, but a playmaker. I was imagining him without Joe on the roster. I'd rather have a PG and a system that uses one. I hope Jeff Teague is that guy because Lawson, Collison, Beaubouis all proved they could do the job as late picks (even AJ Price showed he could play). Teague hasn't been given the chance or the coaching yet to prove anything either way.

IF our problem is that Joe is a ball hog, then you're right. I don't think that's the case; I think it's Woodson's scheme. If I'm right, then HT would be standing in the far corner where Marvelous now stands, scratching his head.
