don't even think about locking this thread! it is absolutely necessary to discuss this. After an entire season of Nuggets fans boasting about their regular season feats vs. the Jazz, this feels so good. I remember thinking I WANTED the Jazz to face the Nuggets, and this is as good as it gets. Jazz won handily.

Let us bask in the glory of it all while we can...we got the Lakers next :-?

This is ironic like Kaman making the all-star team over Boozer.

Hey, Melo had to win SOMETHING this year with all that whining. They can win it every if we get to play them in the first round every time, as far as I'm concerned. Soft, cushy, cushy team.

2010 Jazz > 2010 Nuggets.

It's official.
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

lol, agreed. Sadly, the Lakers just own us, so hopefully we can pull off an upset.

I'll face your Jazz team without your coach any day... be it all 7 games in Utah. I don't care if Phil Johnson has had sex on the sideline for 20 yrs with Sloan... and you'd be the same without Sloan and with Johnson. Without the head coach you're not the same team.

Put it this way, if you cannot manage a single win in the Lakers series, you gotta put a god damn ASTERISK next to your "Second Round, We Beat The Nuggets accomplishment". I wanna laugh so bad... you act like you beat a 100% team. I'm sure I'll be back here if you're swept.

Don't even bring Okur because his value to your team doesn't compare to a head coach's value.

Funny when Okur had that injury it seemed so silent in this forum, then when you won you act like you won a "hard fought" series...

If we had been healthy, and if you had beat us in 6 games, then I wouldn't complain about this thread... but this is so funny.

We're not 100%, no excuses, you beat us... but this thread is so funny... it made it seem you beat us at 100%. Your real battle is just ahead... pray you don't get swept or this second round appearance is suspect... remember Spurs title in lockout season? It should feel like that... and I'll definitely be back here to laugh.

He rarely ever does make sense.

Congratulations Utah Jazz your prize for beating a Denver team falling apart without its coach is Snake. Please keep him.

First of all, Okur is by far the biggest veteran we have, and has been called upon in the past to clog the middle against the likes of Yao, Shaq, etc. He may not be the greatest interior defender, but he works hard to perform the tasks the coaches ask - which is true of all of the players on the Jazz. That is the precise reason it would make very little difference if Sloan was out. In fact, it is not unlikely the team would be playing inspired basketball and actually over-achieve in the face of such a circumstance as the Nuggets are currently presented. I suppose that is the value of fielding a team staffed with men of character. Of course, I understand the Nuggets may lack that type of strength of character among their players due to a different organizational philosophy. I'll leave it to you to determine which approach has been more successful over the years.

Secondly, the Jazz missed their best option for defending Carmelo throughout the series. More than that, AK is a catalyst on both ends of the floor and absolutely among our top three players. I find it interesting that you failed to even mention AK's absence - which serves to illustrate the point that you are merely attempting to provoke irritation and have no useful observations to present.

Lastly, regarding the possibility of the Jazz being swept... In the last 20 years, I recall the Jazz being swept... Never? That's right, the Jazz have not been swept since the fluke series of 1989 against the Warriors - which was the only time the Jazz have been swept in the history of the franchise. Add the fact they took the Lakers to seven games two years ago, and I find it extremely doubtful the Jazz will be swept this year. Back to that whole character thing, I reckon.

How is your starting center worth less than your coach?

We'd be just fine without Sloan. TYVM.

I love how Snake keeps saying "No excuses," and following that up with "We weren't 100%."

The better team won. Get over it.

So "SnakefromHell"...(scary name! watch out!)

uh, i don't know what to say. Some arguments are so self-defeating that there's nothing one can really add. I'd say go back to your own board, but no one really wants you there so...idk.

Maybe pick up a new hobby to get your mind off basketball, or just drop it altogether, 'cause you're going to die young with how personal you take a loss (or 4 losses). Especially being a Nuggets fan.
