A lot of you so called busters really turned on this team and y'all suck for it. I knew that they would come out and really leave it all out there win or lose cause contrary to popular mis guided belief around here. The Hawks actually have a lot of heart, they always have bounced back from tough demoralizing losses in the last 3 years whether it's regular season or playoffs.
Throw all that Bucks shot the ball terrible bull out the window cause the Hawks were really aggressive and sharp defensively last night and that's what won them this game. That's in my opinion 1 of the sure ways to stay alive on the road in a close out game, the defensive intensity and demeanor has to be almost animal like and that's what i saw last night. So a lot more credit to the defensive mindset and intensity is due here.
The Hawk is an animal that likes to fool and play around with it's prey before devouring it eventually. Sunday is feeding time and some Deer meet is on the Menu, will you be there??

The Bucks did shoot bad. They missed about 20 uncontested jumpers last night. Really, they beat themselves. They started playing like ATL... dribble, dribble, shoot. They got away from Bucks basketball, working the ball around getting the open look or the easy look at the basket close.
You guys have a great team.. i love it, but the Bucks played horrendous last night. I dont even think ATL played that well either. What did you shoot, like 38%? It was a pretty bad game from both sides, you guys were just less bad last night.
Game 7 is going to be off the hook though.

You really go hard for your team, i got to admit. What?? With practically congratulating them and wishing them luck against the Magic over on their board multiple of times before the game even started. It was

Show an ounce of faith for this team, i know it's hard sometimes but jeez.

You're still missing the point. Please look at the big picture. Many of us have always believed this team could win this series even down 3-2. But this team's mantra under Woody has been that they improved every season. Well if that improvement stops before we become a real contender then what is the point? We have once again let a far inferior team take us to game 7 because of a lack of mental toughness. Even if we do win this series I see us an out in round no. 2 after showing the exact same shortcomings as last season.
We FINALLY have the talent to do some damage in the EC, but we STILL don't have the mentality to make due on it. It's not just about this series, it's about five years of building that I hate to see plateau in a series of second round exits.

You must be high if you think a lot of guys turned on this team. We are frustrated and pissed off at a team that has talent, and insists on playing with no energy. We all love this team, but we hate it at the same time. If you saw the 4th quarter of this game you can see why some people would turn their backs. They just dont learn. The 3rd quarter had ball movement, pikc and rolls, and all that good jazz. the 4th consisted of isos from midcourt. No pick and rolls, no nothing. I love this team but im not ok with how its coached.
Is it to much to ask for a team that plays hard and cares? Seems so.

Re: April 6th: Game 6 Atlanta at Milwaukee 7pm
One doesn't have to be blindly optimistic to be a true fan. I always want the Hawks to win even when I think they won't. When they play like crap I'd rather admit it than excuse it or ignore it, doesn't mean I don't support them. Friday was an opportunity to prove the team had enough heart to force a game 7. I didn't feel a need to talk smack beforehand about how we were going to win game 6 because I didn't feel that confident (these guys have let me down before with weak effort) and even if I feel confident I didn't feel after game five that we had the right to talk smack.
As for progress, we've yet to win a second round game. Let that sink in. We're in our 3rd playoffs with this squad. We've won one series with a chance at #2 Sunday. We were swept in our last trip to round 2. If we win on Sunday (and it's not a given considering the way we've played and coached in the series), we would face in round 2 a team that routinely beats us silly. The match-up advantages will be gone. It'll will require enormous focus and a creativity that seems beyond our ability to take the series 7 games let alone win it. If we do that then we'll have shown some progress and give hope to staying the course. If we bow out in 4 or 5 (I'm undecided on 6 games) then we've stalled and I think we need to make changes. Not because we aren't a good team, but because it would mean this group as it stands now is never going to be a great team.

I always love the fans that think they're better than everyone else because they can smile when the Hawks lose and say nothing but positives about a team. You have to be happy and optimistic if the Hawks play with no effort and lose a game with poor coaching.

My post was more directed towards ATLBaller than anyone else but would you guys really give them a chance against Orlando even if they had beaten Milwaukee in the Best of 7 game series in 3 games ??
