Not feeling too confidant after this game. Lebron's elbow is definitely worse than anyone wants to let on. Pierce wont go 5 for 18 or whatever it was tonight. The best thing to happen was that we (finally) put Rondo on the floor late in the game. He was obviously stretching out his back at the line early in the second half but it took until the 4th when Andy fouled him hard before we attempted to stop his runs to the rim.
The Shaq foul was just what the doctor ordered, Rondo didnt miss a FT until that foul. Our smaller lineup will run them out of the gym, unless we let Rondo run free. Mo cant stop him, and neither can Parker. The only way to slow that guy down is to crack him EVERY time he comes into the lane.
Garnett looked like he turned back the clock early in the game, but he was not effective late, and watching Sheed completely blow was the icing on the cake.
We may get by the C's, but if Lebron has to baby his elbow like tonight the rest of the way, he wont be able to get most of those lefty shots against Dwight and Orlando. He will become much easier to defend and may well doom us to another heartbreaking end of the season.
Sorry, dont kill the messenger, but unfortunately luck is part of the equation to winning a title, and without it.....well, I hope the elbow improves greatly.
