Why am I ranting? ONe because the board is dead, Two I've had a couple beers, but three the NBA has turned into a game where you let your best person create and play off him. Kobe, LeBron, D-Wade...All Creators. Nash, DWill, Cp3...Creators. Paul Pierce, Rondo...creators. Westbrook, Durant...creators.
I hear now declare Tyreke Evans a C, which stands for creator! We need minions that can deliver. If we get that and a co C we're in business for a long time.
That's brilliant!
This gets me thinking. With all the knocks on Nocioni, I have yet to see him compared to Larry Bird. Nevertheless, if you think about it, you may arrive at a surprising realization: What did Larry Bird do? He shot. Hornacek? Shot. Reggie Miller? Shot. By floppy crickets, they were all...shooters.
I hereby declare Nocioni an S, which stands for shooter! This puts him in rarefied company. We need peons who can serve our S. If we get those and a co-S...wait, scratch that...if we find a GM who will trade somebody commensurate in value for our rarefied S, then we will really be in business!

All kidding aside, the knock on Evans is that, at this stage of his development, he lacks many important creator skills to be an efficient creator. He doesn't shoot at a high percentage and he doesn't create high-percentage shots for his teammates very well.
I mean, players want to play with LeBron, Wade, Deron, Nash, Kidd, and CP3, but I just don't see FAs lining up to sign with the Kings going "I want to go to Sacramento so I'll have Tyreke friggin' Evans to create 20-foot kickout jumpers for me all night, yeah!"
Currently, drawing parallel between Tyreke and LeBron is like saying Bosh is like a young Garnett without the court vision, the passing ability, the range, the big hands, the craftiness off the ball, the help defense, the strenght to guard 5, and the quickness to guard 1-3.
One day in the future? Maybe, but 'Reke has a long way to go if he ever gets there...
