I will update as often as possible. This list will be posted all season and I will notify the league when you have to pick up a prospect (up to two weeks after they have acquired 130 ABs or 50 IP).
I took the lists from the first couple pages of the thread. Stud you have 11 prospects so you might have to drop one unless the lists are incorrect.

So unfair that I have four top 10 prospects and the most talented young team also.

You're right. But I guess I'm mostly talking about this one; Prince Fielder and Ryan Zimmerman for Alex Rodriguez and Ben Zobrist.
Amazing trade.

Re: MLB Dynasty League Offseason Thread (draft in progress)
What happens if I don't promote/pickup a player (say Chacin) to my major league roster after the eligibility (50 Innings/130 ABs) is reached?
I'm asking since I don't want to pick him up and then have him get sent down to the minors again by the Rockies ...

Re: MLB Dynasty League Offseason Thread (draft in progress)
Your roster is supposed to get locked so you can't make any other moves then.
But who knows the rules aren't actually enforced, Wade Davis has 70 IP so he's over the 2 weeks after the 50 IP limit and Sett didn't pick him up or lock his roster so he should technically be a free agent.

Re: MLB Dynasty League Offseason Thread (draft in progress)
I talked with Sett and here is the official rule we came up with:
A player loses rookie eligibility after he has pitched 50 innings or accumulated 130 at bats. Each year is independent of last year. After a player has lost rookie eligibility, a manager has two weeks to add the player to his roster. If the player remains a free agent after two weeks, the managers Add/Drops are locked until her rescinds the rights to the player or adds him to his roster.
Its an imperfect science but prospect totals are on page 30 of this thread. I will let managers know when their team is affected. That being said, Stud you need to drop a prospect as you have 11 and the limit is 10.

Re: MLB Dynasty League Offseason Thread (draft in progress)
Bigboy is right, once the prospect loses eligibility you have two weeks or else you add/drops are locked, meaning that your next move has to be to either add or release the player. Kaz and I decided that in the interest of keeping things from getting too convoluted that we'd only take into account the current year when keeping track of prospects and figured that it's all the same as long as everyone is being held to the same rule.
I guess I'm just gonna pick up Davis now to keep bigboy from whining too much.
Also, I contacted Stud but he didn't respond, I'll try again though and worst case scenario I don't think he's going to be too miffed if we drop Jason Donald or Chris Parmelee for him.

Re: MLB Dynasty League Offseason Thread (draft in progress)
Don't like that current year rule. What we need to be able to do is send our minor leaguers to our minor league team if they get sent down in real life. You just have to mention it in this thread when you do it. Or else the player is fair game.

Not whining, just saying how it is. Hasn't it always been 2 weeks after he losses PROSPECT status? Not ROOKIE status? I could be wrong.
And I agree with Cobb.

Re: MLB Dynasty League Offseason Thread (draft in progress)
I also dont necessarily agree with having your adds/drops locked until you decide. If you had 2 weeks to decide, you shouldnt have the benefit of adding more time on that. If you dont decide in 2 weeks, you should lose that player's rights and he becomes a free agent.
I think an important situation like this needs to be discussed better and the league should vote on a rule change.
Also I mentioned to Sett earlier about a rule change I wanted to bring up for next season: That you are permitted to send a player back to the minors ONE TIME after picking him up in Yahoo. That would mirror the MLB but only players have 1 option instead of 3. You would just have to post that you are doing so on both the Yahoo page and in the league thread here.

Re: MLB Dynasty League Offseason Thread (draft in progress)
What we should do is change the rules during the offseason, not during the season. I never would have added Alcides Escobar at the beginning of the year had I known the 130 ABs didn't include last year. I would have waited to see if he sucks first (which he does) and added him whenever I absolutely had to. Then again, I'm just pissed because my pitching staff is in all-out bustorz mode, I traded the #2 overall fantasy player for HOMER **** BAILEY for no apparent reason, and am now wasting a roster spot on a guy who people now tell me didn't have to be on my roster right now in the first place.
I'd love to be able to send Escobar's non-stealing-bases ass back down to the minors when Craig Counsel inevitably takes the starting job away from him...
THIS GUY WAS SUPPOSED TO SWIPE 30+ BAGS!!!! HE DOESN'T EVEN TRY TO STEAL ON THE RARE OCCASION THAT HE GETS ON BASE!!!
