Del Negro hasn't even been fired yet and everything else is just rumors in local papers of who teams are interested in.

Its not rumors its actual meetings taking place. Noone is going to be offering jobs yet, but nothing is preventing the Nets from interviewing people. Prok wont be the one interviewing and i'm sure they can discuss financial terms as things are now. Ownership change is a formality, i dont buy this Nets can't makes moves until then bs, if they dont know what they are willing to pay to each of the guys on their list yet they are in trouble.

Out of the available guys I'm still a big advocate of JVG.

I'd rather take Frank back.

I think we need an official Next Coach thread.

This article is pretty on point. I really think Thibodeau might be the guy.

Mike Fratello? His no-frills style won't sell a single ticket, and Thorn's good friend and idol, Jerry West, has no use for Fratello, whom he fired in Memphis.

I really dont get what that means.

Former NBA coach and current TNT analyst Mike Fratello would love to interview with the Hornets and has emerged as the newest candidate for their vacant head coaching job.

Fratello has not yet talked to New Orleans.

"I'd love to talk to them if they want to talk," Fratello said.

"I'm sure there's a lot of people who'd like to talk to them. I'm just sitting here hoping that somebody, somewhere, thinks I'm the right person. I'd love to talk to somebody about potential jobs that are out there."

Fratello was a finalist for the Hornets' job back in 2003 before Tim Floyd was hired to replace Paul Silas.

Sad. I think he has a bird's eye view of what can be done to correct this team. I think the Czar had to hold his tongue so many times these past few years. I think he knows what needs to be done for this team. I still would rather have Thibs, but Czar wouldnt be bad either.

Yeah, I would be fine with the Czar. He has a good track record with young players/rosters and malcontents as well and like SIC said, he's had a bird's eye view of this team.

It would be a crime if he doesn't get a job somewhere this year, there are too many openings and he's too qualified to just commentate if he really wants to get back into coaching, which by his comments, it obviously seems that he does to.
