Why is it that Buck (the announcer, not the catcher) can't say 'to' without some sort of weird low-pitched gurgle? I keep thinking that the audio is going.

In honour of his namesake, hereafter Rommie Lewis' fastball shall be referred to as Blitzkrieg, his breaking pitch shall be described as a pincer movement, and his changeup as a tactical feint.

Knuckler = Kamikaze?

Great game yesterday. Jays came out swinging and were really aggressive at the plate. On the jumbotron, Sheets' breaking balls seemed to break pretty hard (I was sitting behind home plate- 500s). Did it look different on TV? Maybe his release is tipping off the pitches? He was hitting the low 90s with his fastballs. It seemed like his stuff was there, but was just hit hard.

Some of his breaking balls were relatively hard, but a number of them were dead fish...IIRC, the one Gonzalez hit out wasn't in a terrible spot, but some of the others started waist-high and ended up just above the knees, center in, and the Jays' hitters were crushing them.

Separate note, Hill is carrying over his Spring Training patience quite nicely; even in ~50 PAs, I never thought that I'd see the day when he had more walks than strikeouts. Once his BA/bip makes its way north, he could be primed for a even better season than last year, even if he only hits 20 HRs.
