The Vinny Del Negro death watch has come to its inevitable conclusion.

Sources tell CBS 2 Del Negro has in fact been fired as the Bulls head coach after two seasons, following meetings with owner Jerry Reinsdorf and other front-office members over the past few days.

Jokes aside, I think Vinny did get kind of a raw deal this year.

They cut his legs out from him talent wise, halfway through the year.

However, its probably too far to say he had no chance to last beyond 2 years. Because they did give him a 3 year deal, and JR would not eat that just for appearances.

ok hopefully we get a new coach in right away and dont look like idiots. even tho vinny did suck somtimes i give him credit for doing what he was supposed to do when he was brought here. develop our young guys and getting them to play hard again. im kind of gonna miss making fun of vinny and calling him all those names. sure it was mean but i did it cuz i knew the team and he could do better.

He was a dead man walking through most of the season anyway, no big deal. I feel nothing.

The only thing I'm not too pleased about is how the front office went about the entire situation.
