Valbuena is more beautiful, imo.

Bautista outplays his contract by more than $70 million over the next four seasons (2013-2016).

Re: Series Thread: Blue Jays @ Indians | May 3-5
Missed the game, but this sequence was nearly as important as Lind's dong.
M Redmond singled to right center, T Hafner scored, R Branyan to third, M LaPorta to second. 2 3
S Camp relieved B Morrow. 2 3
M Grudzielanek grounded into double play, second to shortstop to first, M Redmond out at second.
Camp with the inning ending double play with bases loaded! Nice

Wasn't the prettiest way to win a game, but who really cares?
Nice to see the guys playing well. Lind busting his slump, Lewis looked great, Wells even snatched a base in the 9th, though nothing came of it because McCoy flew out. We looked decent on offense. Morrow didn't have a bad game, though it would have been nice if he'd lasted deeper into the game and walked fewer guys. Frasor's ERA down to like 7.36 now, yay!

If I'm not mistaken, that's 3 games in a row where the starter struck out 9 or more batters (Cecil had 10). These guys are bringing it!
If Morrow can ever improve his control, he's going to be an absolute beast. He's need to cut down on his walks and pitch count to get into the 7th inining on a regular basis.

Nick Nurse recounting his first meeting with Kawhi:
“We could have gone forever. (Raptors management) kept knocking on the door and I was like, ‘A couple more minutes.’ Because we were really into it."

Lind steals the win from Cito's grasp. Nice.

Or if the team had not pushed certain other position players out the door this past winter, signalling to the fans that this was a lost season. Maybe we'd be a little more solid, but above all, maybe a few more people would be buying tickets.
When will you understand that mediocrity isn't the answer?
It's not the answer with the Raptors, and it certainly isn't going to be the answer in the AL East. They needed to rebuild and it needed to happen now.

Hoopstarr wrote:I feel dirty even defending Rogers, but what exactly would spending marginally more have accomplished? Don't be fooled by this start. They will suck and suck hard. They still have 30 games left against Tampa and Boston and all 18 against NY. Hacking away at fastballs has quickly diminishing returns, as it did last year.
The pitching is too good to suck hard this year. Romero, Marcum, and Cecil seem to be above-average pitchers (and Morrow is definitely average, which is great for right now). Outside of NYY, TAM, and BOS, are there really any teams in the AL that are that much better than the Jays? Maybe the Twins?
I'm beginning to think 80 wins may be possible.

The starting pitching has been phenomenal. It has kept us in every ball game in the past two weeks.

Brandon Morrow, Just Filthy !
Man i was watching the game against Cleveland, and oh man, he just abused the hitters, in the 2nd when he struck out the side.
The 3 pitches he struck the 3 batters out on were as follow.
Pitch 1 - 99 MPH (1st batter) Fast Ball
Pitch 2 - 100 MPH ( 2nd Batter ) Fast Ball
Pitch 3 - 89MPH (3rd Batter) - Curve Ball
Are you kidding me, his damn Curve ball is faster than most pitcher's fastballs, It was downright filthy and now i understand why he was taken ahead of Lincecum. He reminds of AJ, but with better control and a filthier fast ball. I think his Fastball along with Daniel Bard's is the best in Baseball.
His Curve ball is down right filthy too. He has problems locating his pitches which is normal for a young pitcher who has had only 19 starts.
Check the video out.

I checked the box score from work when it was in the 9th and saw they were down, and assumed they would lose... well it was a nice surprise to see the final score when i got home.
As long as they keep beating up on teams like the Royals and Indians, then i don't mind if they do bad against the Skankees and Red Schmucks of the world.
