Re: Tampa Bay (18-7) vs. Seattle (11-14)
The team's just imploding...fans are booing loudly, the offense is non-existent, and the defense even looks like hell.
Yet again, the team loads the bases and ends up with nothing to show for it as Bradley strikes out [after chasing two balls and then watching strike three] and Griffey whiffs on change-ups and fastballs. He just can't catch up to fastballs anymore, so he's basically guessing 'fastball' every time and starting his swing early.
Jesus...three outs on four pitches. What. The. ****.

We have the worst offense in the history of professional baseball.

Someone on MLB Network (no, not Harold) made a passionate plea for the Mariners to go out and bring in a bat or two NOW, and not wait another month. So at least someone getting paid for their ideas agrees with us.
I can't even be condescending and say Seattle has put together a nice team of singles hitters, 'cause they're not. Singles are too much to ask for much of the line-up.

And now we have our first Milton Bradley implosion of the year.

Phew, I was worried this week would only be about god awful baseball and not an embarrassing off-the-field incident.

Top 4, 0-0.
For those keeping score at home, Cliff Lee has not yet given up a run this year through 10 innings, nor have the Mariners scored a run for him.

Bot 4, 2-0 Mariners
Seattle FINALLY scores a run for Lee. Guti takes a Garza fastball over the the rightfield fence for a two run shot, Seattle's first HR since... April 25, when Guti last hit one against the ChiSox. Junior smacks a ground rule double the very next pitch, too.

I can't go to any more games. So BRUTAL. Its way too tough to sit there watching us not hit in freaking 30 degrees.
I still have complete faith in Z, its tough to undue the mess that Bill the forehead left us in one year.

Again they load the bases and come up with nothing. Rob Johnson K's on a crap third strike that was well inside.
I'm having trouble finding the energy to go to games for a bit too. It's cold out, and the offense just gives us nothing to root for. Kind of hard to pony up $50 for a seat when the team is struggling so mightily.

We have so many nothings on offense. Is Rob Johnson even considered a good defensive catcher? If he is I don't see it. I like the guy and I am sure he works hard and all but he is up there with Jose Lopez to me.
When is it too early to starting talking about how will be available as a free agent that can help our offense"?

It's definitely not too early. Z said something to the effect of... "we've looked into trades, but nothing is biting because the trade market isn't open yet." So I guess they're looking. I hope.
