Re: Game 2
I don't think we go get 4 straight wins here.
If my predictions is any good (I did predict a Spurs lost in game 1), then this game 2 must be had. Personally, if we lose this game, I don't think we'll win 4 straight to finish them in game 6. While if we manage to win 3 of 4 to tie the series at 3-3, I'm not confident on winning game 7 on the road because if we're 3-3, then I have to think we're not that much better than them to feel very confidently about winning a game 7 in another team's floor.
Considering turnovers and offensive rebounds wasn't a problem in game 1, the key to game 2 has to be what went wrong in game 1. Which means:
Transition defense. They had way too many open shots of quick outlets. We weren't discipline enough defensively but that is to be expected in game 1 when both teams are basically trying to figure out the other.
Nash. He was coldblooded in game 1. It's not just that he tortured George Hill, we didn't make him work enough defensively. Yes, when Hill is out, Tony can attack him. But Hill plays 30 minutes a game and anytime George and Nash is on the floor, you can bet Nash is chilling on the corner 3 with George. I don't think we can STOP Nash. Our best chance is to attack him and that means George Hill must play a better game.
I think that's the two most important things to do in game 2. I seriously doubt we lose game 2 if we fix our transition defense. Tempo is the key to this series IMO. We're not winning a high scoring game.

Down 0-2, when will the spurs start to panic? You can't say just like the Mavs series after tonight

Re: Game 2
How come we get the bandwagoner Suns fans in here? There are some good ones, right? Can we get them instead?
At least you could have decent back and forth with Mavs fans.

Bandwagon? Are you kidding me? Hard to prove that online but that can't be further from the truth. It's just fun rousing spurs fans after all they've done to us.

I fell off the wagon when KJ and Majerle retired. Missed the entire 7 seconds or less era. Started following them again in the middle of last season. In case you were too obsessed with your own team to notice who else was in the playoffs (which I tend to believe considering you all think that was us playing above our heads on Monday, which is wasn't), we didn't make it, and I've been following them ever since. If there was a time to jump off the bandwagon, it woulda been the exact time I got on it. So much for your bandwagon fan theory oh Mr. Kaufmen.
Edit: And to be honest, most of us are perfect gentleman to almost every team. The Spurs are the exception. It's like the bully at school, and we've finally taken karate so we're fairly certain we can talk trash back... unless we blow this... then it's back to the dojo...

They have the advantage in just about every position except pg and they have the better coach. I just think they are the better team.
McDyess>Collins
Duncan>Amare
RJ>Hill
Ginobili>Richardson
Hill<Nash
I know that there's more to basketball than head to head matchups, but it's hard to bet against the Spurs.

Suns Bench >> Spurs Bench
And 23 points, 13 rebounds, is better than 21 and 11. Game 1: Amare > Duncan
And you guys didn't have shootaround today. Getting tired already??

Re: Game 2
This is not looking too good. Half time, tied 51-51.
So far, we fixed the game 1 problems. Steve Nash only had 6 points and 4 assists. The tempo, for the most part, was ours. At one point, we had them shooting like 33% while we're at over 50% but we're only up by 2 with a score of 40-38. Transition defense was pretty good.
We're looking at different problems right now. Offensive boards is an issue. When they're not getting offensive rebounds, they're making 3 point shots.

Hows it feel being 12 minutes away from being down 0-2?

It definitely feels much better than being 31 seconds away from being 0-2 compared to when it was still 12 minutes.

I agree, defense wins championships. Suns Spurs have played 5 games this season and the Suns have scored over 110 in all 5 games. Perhaps Spurs don't know how to play defense?

Most people consider Duncan either the best pf in the NBA or the 2nd best behind Dirk. I'm not saying they are right or wrong. I'm just telling you how most people on realgm feel.

looks like David Stern is rigging the series to give to the Phoenix Sterns. Awesome
